Hello Lovelies

Today is my gorgeous girls birthday, Nichole or Cole as we call her for short is 22 years old today, it really doesn't seem like 2 minutes since she was born, I remember every minute detail as if it were yesterday.

I was a teenage mum when I had Cole, back in the day (how old do I sound) it was seen as extremely young to have a baby at 17 / 18, I fell pregnant at 17 and was 18 when she was born. When I found out I was pregnant my first thought was "my mum is going to kill me" but I always knew I was going to have Nichole, no other option was ever considered. My parents weren't exactly thrilled at the idea of being grandparents or me being a mum but once I got my baby bump they did become excited and once Nichole was here there were bowled over with love for her and still are the most proud Grandparents in the world.

I had quite an easy labour with Cole, 6 hours which I was asleep for most of, 3 pushes and she was here at 8.39am on 27/07/1991 weighing 8lbs 6oz and I was instantly overwhelmed with love for this teeny tiny little bundle with jet black hair and the biggest blue eyes ever.

I had absolutely no idea what so ever what to do with a baby, how you held one, how you fed one or changed a nappy, I didn't have a clue but I did know that I loved Nichole more than life and I would do my damnedest to be the best mamma in the world. I might not have known what the best teething remedy was or the best formula milk was to give her and I actually fed her Farleys formula because it had the cutest picture on the packaging! But I knew I loved her and would always do my very best for her and would be the best Mamma I could.

Cole 12 hours old

I came home from hospital 3 days after Cole was born totally clueless and without even knowing how to make a bottle of formula, but she was fine and we did ok, it was me and Cole against the world and always has been in a way.

Nichole was a quirky child, very funny with very funny and quirky little ways and routines, which I later found out were her Aspergers Syndrome,  Cole has a lovely personality, everyone who meets her loves her, she is funny, kind caring and extremely creative and I am very proud of her and the young lady she has become. Last week Cole graduated and it was one of the best days of my life seeing her do that, she worked hard at uni and it wasn't easy but she did it. There are so many times I have been proud of Cole but I won't bore you all today, but I am proud of her every single day, she is amazing.

I have an amazing relationship with Nichole and am very lucky to have such a relationship as I know many people who aren't so lucky, there has been some very hard times in Coles life where being a mum has been the hardest thing in the world but it is the best thing I have ever done and if I had to go back and live my life all over again I would still have been a teenage mum, I might not have been clued up and known it all and had the best of everything equipment wise, but I had love and I had love in a mass abundance and all I have ever done is love Nichole and done my best for her (and Lissy) and whilst I have a breath in my body I will continue to do what I have always done, love her unconditionally and be there for her and be the best mamma I can be.

Happy 22nd Birthday Nichole Danielle, I love you so much, more than words can say aoss
