Hello Lovelies

Last Thursday 27th June was my youngest daughter Alicia or Lissy as we call her, school prom, Lissy has just left year 11 and finished her GCSE exams on the 14th June so was really looking forward to her prom, a highly anticipated event amongst her peers.

The school prom is an exciting event for young people and is something that is talked about a lot for months in advance amongst the children at Lissy's school and more particularly in year 11. Preparation starts early so in the half term holidays in February we went shopping for Lissy's dress after searching online and even ordering some and returning them. It was hard to shop for Lissy's prom dress because she is very petite and a lot of places such as House of Fraser start their sizing at a size 8 which was far too big, we looked in quite a few shops and took my mum along as she is very good at sewing and was able to tell if she could alter the dresses as we knew we were going to struggle to find one to fit.

After a long search we finally found a beautiful long deep red dress in Lipsy it fitted perfectly and Lissy looked amazing in it, we knew instantly it was 'the one'. The dress had diamante detailing at the bust so Lissy chose silver accessories to go with the dress, she had some gorgeous silver peep toe shoes covered in diamantes and a silver bad also with diamante detailing to match her shoes.

Finally the big day came and I was the proudest mamma in the world, my baby girl looked absolutely stunning, she really did, Cole did her hair and make up and I had taken her to the salon the day before prom and she had gel nails in a sparkly french manicure, then I did her a sparkly french manicure on her toes to match. I actually cried when she was ready for prom because my baby looked so so beautiful, she looks beautiful every day but I'm sure you know what I mean, especially if your a mamma too.

Adam is a professional photographer so he took some photo's at the house before Lissy left and then I took some using my iphone both at Lissy's friends house and then outside the venue. Lissy and her friends travelled to their prom in a VW Camper Van in a mint green colour, it was lovely and an original way to travel. Anyway onto the photographs.

This was taken on my iphone so the quality
isn't great but it shows the dress full length

agree, a lovely couple

This was taken by Lissy's friend, neither Will nor Lissy
knew she had taken it, but it is such a lovely photograph I wanted
to share it with you, I love the way Will is looking at Lissy here <3

I hope you don't mind me posting this, I know some of you wanted to see it and for those of you who did, I hope you enjoyed it, and if you didn't want to see this I hope you enjoyed it anyway. I am so proud of my girl, she looked stunning and I was the proudest mamma on the planet. I am very lucky indeed.

I filmed an OOTD of Lissy, so if you'd like to see her outfit in more detail along with her earrings, shoes and bag, you can watch that here.

If it is your prom or your daughters or sons prom soon I hope you or they have an amazing time, and I am sure you will be as proud as I was / am, there's no better feeling.

Thank you for reading, much love as always,

Zoe x
