April Roundup

Friday, May 02, 2014

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have my April roundup post for you all, I haven't done much in April at all and so don't have too much to tell you, so today's post will be slightly different from my previous round up posts where I have listed dates etc of things I've done. I'm just going to give you an overview of how April has been for me and include some photo's too, I hope thats ok? So here we go, here's how April panned out.

April began with Lissy starting her driving lessons, my baby driving! It's a scary thought, and one I still haven't got used to, she has so far had 5 lessons and I wouldn't say she's enjoying them but I'm not sure I know anyone who has enjoyed their driving lessons, she sees them as a means to an end, she's doing well with them though, she isn't going to start any of the theory work until after her AS exams finish in May as she wants to concentrate on those for now.

I had another reaction in April meaning my face was again red, sore and extremely puffy, the second reaction seems to have had a massive effect on my skin and it is extremely dehydrated and dry and looks a mess, I have been using face masks regularly to try and help it, they do seem to be working so fingers crossed. Excuse the horrific pic I wanted to show you how horrid it was!

The Easter holidays were in April meaning I got to spend time with my lovely sister and her two children, my niece and nephew, who are 8 and 2, they are lovely and I love spending time with them and my sister of course. Speaking of my sister, I also had my hair cut and coloured in April, my sister is my hairdresser and has been for around 20 years now, she also cut and coloured Coles hair and Cole had much more of a transformation than I did as she went from blonde to an ash brown with blonde highlights, I think she looks amazing, I am obviously biased as her mamma but I'm sure you'll all agree.

On the 17th of April I had a visit from my lovely friend Laura it was lovely to see her, and although I do see Laura quite a bit it isn't as much as I'd like as she lives in the North East which is quite far from me so we don't see each other on a weekly basis but I am very lucky as she does come and see us quite a lot which is lovely. Whilst she was here Cole did her Bridal trial make up for her impending nuptials, she looked beautiful and will make a stunning bride, I am very excited about the wedding!

I had some bad news concerning my health in April too, it's a little long winded to type out but I will be doing an update video on my You Tube channel soon.

Lastly and on the last Saturday in April I used up some of the vouchers I received for Christmas and my birthday for the beauty salon I use and had a manicure and pedicure and also my legs and eyebrows waxed, it was lovely to be pampered, I am very lucky that Cole can do my manicures and pedicures at home and she often does but it is nice to go and be pampered once in a while too and I had the vouchers so I thought I might as well use some of them. It was lovely and lovely to see the girls who work in the salon too, I have been going to the same place for 17 years now so know the staff extremely well and they are lovely and very helpful too,  it is always a really nice experience when I go. I chose a french manicure for my manicure and pedicure and instead of a pale pink I had a lovely shimmery colour called Wedding Anniversary by OPI for the base colour of the french manicure.

My nails after my manicure.

So that's my April roundup, it doesn't seem too long since I wrote my March one and I'm sure I'll be writing my May one before I know it too. I have some nice things to look forward to in May so hopefully I should have a much more exciting May round up for you.

As always, thank you for reading.

Much love,

Zoe x
