Christmas Day 2014

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

Hello Lovelies,

Happy Christmas to you all, I hope you have all had a lovely one, we did in our house and today I thought I'd share with you what we did for Christmas and also share some of the photographs we took with you too.

Our Christmas day started with Lissy coming in our room at around 7.20am to see if we were awake, I was, Simon wasn't. I don't sleep well anyway but never do on Christmas eve as I'm always excited for the girls. Me and Lissy had a nice cuddle and a chat for about 20 minutes and then she went to wake up Cole and then she dived on Simon shouting "Happy Christmas Si Si" bless her, Simon put his contact lenses in and then he went downstairs to see if Father Christmas had been.

Of course we knew as soon as we saw the mince pie the girls left had been eaten and the glass of Pepsi max had been drunk, yes even at 17 and 23 they still leave out a mince pie and a drink for Father Christmas and carrot for Rudolph and Cole sprinkled our Reindeer food outside too for the other reindeer.

Then we all went into the lounge and the girls opened their gifts and then me and Simon opened ours, we were all very lucky as we all got some lovely things, I love the see the girls open their gifts they take ages to look at each thing and are always so grateful for everything.

After we'd opened our gifts we spent time relaxing and having breakfast and chatting, I spoke to my sister on the phone, who was extremely tired as my 9 year old niece had gone to bed at 9.30pm and was still awake at 3.30am!!! She then got up at 7.30am but my 2 year old nephew who has a bad cough was sick at 5.15am from coughing, so she'd had a very eventful night! I rang and text my family and friends to thank them for our gifts and have a chat and then it was time to get ready.

We all got ready and then as always we took some family photographs round the tree, I will include some of them below for you.

We had my parents over and Coles boyfriend (Lissys boyfriend was invited too but spent the day with his family so we didn't see him until Boxing day) we had our Christmas dinner which was lovely, pulled crackers, telling the silly jokes and donning our party hats. We then all sat in the lounge chatting and laughing, we had our dessert sat in the lounge as we were all too full after lunch to eat it. Later we played a few games and also had 2 rounds of a pub quiz, splitting into teams, it was great and we all had a lot of fun and lots of laughs too.

Before we knew it, it was late and we were all tired and after lots of food and fun it was time for bed.

The day was perfect, lots of fun and laughter but most importantly lots of love, just the way I like it, spending time with my lovely girls and Simon, aka my whole world.

I will show you some photos of our day, I hope you like them :)

I haven't included photos of my parents or Coles boyfriend as I'm not sure they'd want to be included but I do have some lovely photos of us all for my personal collection.

And lastly some of my favourite photos that Simon took of me and Lissy........

We were laughing at something Lissy said, Simon was howling laughing and has the most infectious laugh so it set us both off and we couldn't stop, I love the photos though and had to show you.

So that's it, our Christmas day 2014, a perfect day for us. I hope you enjoyed this post and seeing some of the photographs we took, we took loads but I didn't want to overload you too much. I hope you all had the perfect day with your loved ones too.

Let me know in the comments what you did for Christmas.

Thank you for reading, much love as always
