Mamma's Monthly Roundup - March 2015

Wednesday, April 01, 2015

Hello Lovelies,

I cannot believe it's that time again, these months seem to be flying by, surely it's not been a whole month since February's round up post (read here

March has been a busy month and one I have spent preparing for a big celebration, my youngest daughter Alicia or Lissy as we call her celebrated her 18th Birthday at the end of March so the weeks leading up to her birthday were spent shopping and planning for our baby girls big day.

The first thing to happen in March was my appointment with the asthma nurse, I mentioned in my February roundup that I'd been suffering with pleurisy and my asthma was worse as a result. I had been to see the GP and she referred me to the asthma clinic and I had the appointment on the 4th of March. I knew my asthma was bad and had gotten worse but I was shocked when I did my peak flow test and the nurse said the result was the lowest she'd seen in years and one on par with someone with chronic COPD. I have suffered with asthma since I was 19 but it has always been very mild and apart from a couple of times over the years when I've had a chest infection and once when I had pneumonia I've not really ever needed to take an inhaler, I've used my blue one as and when but only around once a year so to be told news like that was a massive shock. I was given a new type of inhaler that contains 2 steroids that are different from any I've taken before and I take it once at the same time every day and it lasts for 24 hours, it has made a massive difference and for the last couple of weeks I've not needed my blue inhaler at all.

I had a couple of shopping trips and did some online shopping in March as it was Lissy's birthday I had lots to get for her and I needed an outfit too, I will be filming a haul video soon so keep an eye out for that :) one of the shopping trips was rather eventful and I talk all about it in my "mamma's monthly moans" video which will be up on Friday (3rd April) so be sure to watch that to find out what happened then.

On the 25th March I had a visit from my lovely friend Adele who lives in Austrailia, she came over for 5 days to celebrate her brothers 50th birthday, so it was so lovely to see her whilst she was over here and spend some time with her too, I miss her so much. Her eldest daughter is Alicia's best friend so it was a shame she couldn't come over too but it was so lovely to see Adele and hopefully all the family will be able to come over in the next couple of years.

March the 28th was Alicia's 18th party, it was a great night and I won't go on too much here because I chat all about it in an update video (coming soon) but it was a great night. The 29th was her birthday, I can't believe my baby is 18, where did that time go? She had a lovely day and a great party, it was a brilliant weekend.

As I said most of March was taken up with sorting things out for Alicia's 18th birthday and party, I do have an update video coming soon on my channel where I talk all about the birthday weekend and I am going to write a blog post with lots of photographs too all about Alicia's party and birthday too & Alicia is going to film a "what I got for my 18th birthday" video for my channel too, so keep an eye out for those if you're interested.

So basically that's March in a nutshell, as I said there'll be lots of videos on my You Tube channel coming up regarding updates and Alicia's 18th so if you're interested in those, check out my channel and I do have a blog post coming up all about Alicia's 18th party and birthday with lots of photographs of Alicia through the years and also her party and birthday.

But for now, that's it, that's my month. Lots of shopping and planning and best of all partying! How was March for you? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for reading, much love as always,

Zoe x
