MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil In Revved Up

MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil In Revved Up

Hello Lovelies,

I love MAC makeup and their lip products are one of my favourites from the brand, I love their lipsticks and cannot wait for their Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick launch early next year (my post on those is here) so when I received the Patentpolish lip pencil in Revved up I was super excited to use it.

What MAC Says About The Patentpolish Lip Pencil

The colour and shine of a gloss, the precision of a lip pencil - all in one colour stick. A unique blend of creamy emollients replenishes moisture, keeping lips soft with an ultra smooth texture that isn't heavy or sticky. The pencil's effortless twist -up keeps application clean and simple, with no need to sharpen.

My Thoughts

Revved Up is a nice peach shade and lovely for an every day look. It does feel extremely moisturising and isn't sticky at all, it feels lovely, it has a nice glossy finish and is a lovely shade but I had to re apply after around 30 minutes to an hour so it wasn't long wearing at all. I love the packaging it's black with silver glittery sparkles which I love and I like that the lip pencil has a twist-up bottom so no need to sharpen.

I do really like the colour it's a nice peach shade and lovely for an every day look or if you're wearing a dramatic eye look and want a nice soft glossy lip colour but if you want a bold peach/coral glossy lip this isn't for you, some of the other shades do look from photographs I've seen on line as if they are a little more pigmented and would give a deeper colour payoff.

Overall Thoughts & Would I Re Purchase?

Personally I wouldn't re purchase Revved up it isn't a bold enough shade for me and I'm not a huge fan of a glossy finish but those are the only reasons, I prefer a matte or satin finish and rarely wear a glossy finish lip product but it is a lovely shade, I also prefer a lip product with a longer wear time.

The Patentpolish lip pencil felt lovely on my lips, it feels extremely moisturising, it applied well and isn't sticky at all despite the glossy finish but it just isn't for me but if you like a glossy finish and prefer a more natural shade you'll love it, some of the other shades in the collection look lovely too, they are definitely worth checking out they just aren't my thing but they are by no means a bad product and they do do exactly what they claim.

There are 14 shades in the Patentpolish collection which has now been made permanent, they were launched in the summer and were originally going to be limited edition so I held off writing this post, I don't always post about LE products from MAC as I'm not sure how people feel about reading a post on a LE product as they sell out so quickly but please let me know if you'd like to see them in the future on my blog.

Have you tried any of the Patentpolish Lip Pencils? What is your favourite shade?

Thank you for reading, much love as always,

Zoe x
