Outfit Of The Night - Surprise PartySaturday, November 14, 2015
I have a fashion post for you today in the form of an OOTN or outfit of the night post, I attended a surprise 16th birthday party for Hannah in September and I thought I'd share with you what I wore.
The party was at Hannah's house and wasn't a formal affair and was much more casual so I chose my outfit around a casual theme but since it was a party I didn't want to be too casual, I went with a monochrome outfit which was what I would describe as smart/casual but also comfortable.
I chose a black kimono style cardigan from New Look which is an edge to edge style without buttons, I love this cardigan it is so handy for occasions like this or a meal out. The cardigan has pom poms all around the edge of it and around the sleeves which is a nice touch and adds a bit of something different, the cardigan is on sale for £6.00 on the New Look website HERE.
I wore a black jersey cami style vest top from Next under the cardigan, I really like the cami style vest tops from Next and have them in a variety of colours, they wash well and keep their shape, you can find them HERE for £4.50.
My trousers are a jersey peg leg style trouser which were £12.99 from H&M and are super comfortable, they have an elasticated waist and are a lovely soft jersey material and have pockets which I love. I bought these trousers back in the summer to take on my holidays and have had so much wear out of them, they have a monochrome pattern on and can be dressed up or down which is ideal. My trousers are no longer available on line but I found some similar ones HERE for £12.99.
I wore my trusty black wedge sandals with my outfit which I picked up from Primark over 2 years ago, Primark still sell very similar black wedge sandals and they are still £10 which is what I paid for mine, they come in a variety of colours if black isn't your thing. I can't wear heels so wedges are perfect for me, they give me the height without the discomfort. Unfortunately I don't have a link to the sandals I have as they are from Primark, but I found some similar ones for £14.99 including delivery HERE.
My black and white clutch bag was also from Primark and the monochrome style matched my outfit perfectly, the bag is a great size as it fits quite a lot in. I paid around £6 or £8 for it which is a great price, unfortunately I couldn't find a link to the bag but I found a similar one from New Look HERE for £12.99 or this one also from New Look and also £12.99 HERE.
Lastly I chose a black and diamante style statement necklace to finish my look which I received as a gift last Christmas and is from Dorothy Perkins, my necklace is unfortunately no longer available but I managed to find one similar HERE for £4.64 including delivery.
I hope you liked my outfit, it was casual but comfortable and ideal for a house party, Hannah had a lovely time and was completely surprised, I thought I'd finish off my post by sharing one of my favourite photographs of me and Hannah from the evening, isn't she gorgeous? I'm so proud of her she is growing into a beautiful young lady both inside and out.
