I'm sure you know by now that I love wearing bright lipstick, I also love matte lipsticks, so when I received the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Matte Lipstick in the shade Neon Azalea I was super excited to try it. The matte lipsticks are the latest in the Pure Colour Envy lipstick range from Estee Lauder and there are 8 shades to choose from all of which look stunning, they are priced at £25.00.
The first thing I fell in love with when I opened the box was the packaging, it is navy blue with what I can only describe as "twisted" sides and a gold top with Estee Lauder embossed on it, it is absolutely stunning.
The packaging feels very luxurious and has a magnetic closure, is it me or does anyone else get a lot of satisfaction from the "click" of a lipstick with a magnetic closure? After I had finished adoring the packaging I opened the lipstick to twist up an absolutely stunning shade of pink.
Neon Azalea is a beautiful shade, it is very bright blue toned neon pink, the formula of the lipstick although matte feels very creamy on application, it glides on effortlessly and provides a full and even coverage to the lips, it feels very soft and comfortable and very luxurious when applied and dries down to a matte finish quite quickly.
I adore the shade of Neon Azalea it is such a beautiful bright pink and will be perfect for the spring and summer months and I have to say is one of the longest wearing lip products I have ever used, the pigmentation is incredible!
The first time I wore the lipstick it wore incredibly well and when I came to remove my make up after 11 hours the colour was still very visible on my lips, it didn't look as if I'd just applied it but you could clearly see I was wearing a bright pink lipstick and there was plenty of product left on my lips, it had worn away in some areas but you could still clearly see it, that said I didn't have any great difficulty in removing it with my make up remover. My lips did feel dry throughout the day though but because it was the first time I was wearing the lipstick I wanted to be able to tell you how long it lasted and how the colour pay off was etc etc but my lips felt dry as the day wore on so the next time I wore it as soon as my lips began to feel dry around 6 hours after I'd first applied it, I reapplied the lipstick purely for comfort reasons because to be honest it looked just as good as when I'd applied it but felt a little dry, I suppose you could add a clear lip balm if you didn't want to re apply but the colour payoff is insane it is so long lasting.
I am so impressed with this lipstick, it applies well and gives a full and opaque finish in just one swipe, the pigmentation is absolutely incredible and probably the best I've ever tried. The lipstick glides on the lips and feels very comfortable without any dragging and the wear time is incredible, my only negatives would be that my lips do feel a little dry but not massively uncomfortable as time goes on and the price of the lipstick but because of the luxurious packaging and how incredible the lipstick is I have to say it wouldn't put me off buying more shades in the range as a treat to myself.
