Know Cosmetics UK - An Exciting New BrandTuesday, December 13, 2016
Discovering new cosmetic brands is always fun and trying out their products is even better, so I was really pleased when I was asked if I would like to try a product from the brand Know Cosmetics who recently launched here in the UK from North America and are available in store and online at Superdrug.
Know Cosmetics are hyped as a Sephora best seller in North America so I was really excited to try the product I received, there's something that draws me to brands sold in Sephora that we can't access in the UK so to be able to try something knowing the brand is now available in the UK felt very exciting.
Know Cosmetics are a compact range of products offering solutions to some of our biggest beauty problems and wishes, for example, lipstick bleeding, dark under eye circles, sparse or unruly brows and wanting fuller lips which are all things most of us have an issue with from time to time.
There are 4 products in the UK range and they are -
✿ No Bare Brows - Universal 4 in 1 Brow Fix - £18.00
✿ No Bleeding Lips - Secret Lip Liner - £12.50
✿ No dark Shadows - Complexion Enhancer - £15.00
✿ No Thin Lips - Secret Lip Plumper - £15.00
The product I have been trying over the last couple of weeks is the No Dark Shadows complexion enhancer and under eye concealer.
The No Dark Shadows is a complexion enhancer and under eye concealer and is available in 2 shades, Wow for rose undertones and Pizazz for yellow undertones, I have the shade Pizazz.
The formula is a medium, waterproof coverage, with a silky, light blend-able texture and a long lasting build-able formulation. It has light diffusing pigments to soften the look of darkness and highlight the skin.
The complexion enhancer has a nice creamy texture that isn't too thick or thin, it applies nicely and I have been using the brush to apply it to my under eye area and then I blend it out using either my ring finger or beauty blender. The shade I have is Pizazz, which is for yellow tones and I have very pink toned skin, so it is perfectly fine for concealing my dark under eye circles but is a little too dark for me to use as a highlight so I use it for an under eye concealer only.
The complexion enhancer blends out beautifully and feels lovely on my skin, I have used it both underneath and over my foundation but my preferred method is to use it over my foundation as that is how I would usually apply my under eye concealer. My dark circles cover really well and I love that the product doesn't settle into my fine lines on application or throughout the day and it looks exactly the same when I apply it as it does when I remove it which can sometimes be around 9 or 10 hours later.
I get very hot because of the medication I take and the pain I am in and can very un lady likely perspire, so the fact the complexion enhancer is waterproof is fantastic because sometimes I can lose my under eye makeup when I get very hot but I haven't done at all when wearing the complexion enhancer.
Wearing the complexion enhancer over my foundation.
Overall I really like the Know Cosmetics complexion enhancer, it applies well, lasts well, doesn't settle into fine lines or any dry patches I have and covers my dark under eye circles really well. I love that it is waterproof and stays in place even when I get really hot and I would definitely recommend it, it's a really good product and I would love to try the other products from Know Cosmetics.
