Gosh Liquid Matte Lips Review And Swatches - Spring/Summer 2017 LaunchTuesday, March 07, 2017
You may have seen this blog post where I spoke about the brand new Gosh Spring/Summer 2017 launch, within the spring/summer launch are 8 brand new liquid lipsticks, the Gosh Liquid Matte Lips (£8.99). I love lip products, liquid lipsticks and a matte finish so these could not have been more appealing to me and I could not wait to try them. I have spent the last few weeks trying out every single shade in the liquid matte lips collection and today I am going to share my thoughts and swatches with you.
The liquid matte lips provide a matte look and have an intense colour pay off, they are infused with LIPerfection which is based on mustard sprouts, and instantly plumps and hydrates the lips, reduces fine lines and gives a fuller and firmer look to the lips, they are also infused with dandelion extract, dandelion is rich in carotenoids, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and sterols. The dandelion leaves contain more vitamin A than a carrot and they are also rich in Vitamin B, C and D, dandelion is proven to be an anti inflammatory, antioxidant and skin soothing. The liquid matte lips are perfume and fragrance free and also vegan friendly.
There are 8 shades in the collection, nudes, pinks and even a bright red and very deep burgundy, there is definitely at least one shade that will suit many different tastes. The shades are -
✿ 001 Candyfloss
✿ 002 Pink Sorbet
✿ 003 Nougat Fudge
✿ 004 Chinese Rouge
✿ 005 Red Carpet
✿ 006 Berry Me
✿ 007 Nougat Crisp
✿ 008 Arabian Night
I have used every shade since receiving the products and all the shades are intensely pigmented, they apply effortlessly and have a long thin wand and quite a long applicator that has a rounded tip, which I like and find easy to use, some liquid lipsticks can be difficult to apply but I don't find that at all and in just one swipe they leave a beautiful opaque finish. When first applied the liquid lipsticks feel very creamy and hydrating and although they do have a lovely matte finish, they don't fully dry and even after a couple of hours wearing them, they do feel slightly tacky on the lips, the finish is stunning, a lovely matte finish without feeling drying at all.
I use one coat of the liquid matte lipsticks, they leave a lovely opaque matte finish and feel very comfortable to wear, some matte lipsticks and especially liquid matte lipsticks can feel extremely drying, but these don't at all. I haven't experienced any bleeding or feathering at all and have only ever worn them alone without a lip liner as I haven't needed one.
They have an incredible wear time, they last for around 6 hours on me, sometimes longer depending on if I have eaten or just drank. The liquid matte lips wear away nicely from the centre and if I have needed to top up, which so far has only happened once after wearing the lipstick for 7 hours and eating a 2 course meal and drinking, topping up was easy and my lips looked and felt like I had freshly applied the liquid lipstick.
I am really impressed with the Gosh Liquid Matte Lips, they are everything I look for when looking to purchase a liquid lipstick and are better than some much more expensive liquid lipsticks I have in my collection. I feel the shade range is very good, there are shades to suit everyone and I would definitely recommend them and will re purchase.
I don't have lip swatches of every shade in the collection but I do have photographs of me wearing a couple of the shades so I thought I would share those with you.
