Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes

Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes

Hello Lovelies

Both my daughters wear false lashes a lot, my youngest daughter Alicia wears them everytime she applies makeup as she pulls her lashes out as she suffers from Trichotillomania due to her having crippling anxiety. When I received some of the Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes Alicia was the first person I thought of to try the lashes out.

I received two pairs of the Kiss lashes, Little Black Dress and Gala. Both are faux mink meaning you get all the benefits of mink lashes without using real mink.

What Kiss Say About The Lashes

Developed with proprietary Mink Effect Design, Lash Couture features a knot-free lash band that distributes weightless volume and curl with a lush, softness like no other. Gala lashes work well with larger eyes.
- Exclusive Knot-free Lash Band
- Weightless Volume & Curl
- Soft & Seamless
- Reusable

Alicia's Thoughts

The lashes come in an off white coloured box with a clear window on the front showing the lashes and the name of the lashes. On the back of the box are the instructions of how to apply the lashes. The lashes don't come with any glue or applicator to apply the lashes, the box contains just the lashes.

Little Black Dress

Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes Little Black Dress

The Little Black Dress lashes (£7.99) claim to give the effect of a smokey eye without the eyeshadow, they are quite a full lash which fan out at the corners, giving length and volume.

Gala

Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes Gala

The Gala lashes (£7.99) are much fuller than Little Black Dress and are much more dramatic, they also fan out towards the outer corner.

Alicia wears similar lashes to the Little Black Dress lashes most days, but would reserve styles such as the Gala lashes for a night out as for her, they are much too dramatic for a daytime look but it is entirely down to personal preference, some people may find Little Black Dress too much for the daytime.

Alicia found both sets of lashes easy to apply, she didn't need to cut down either pair down, they applied well and stayed in place, Alicia applied the lashes at around 8.00am and removed them at around 4.00pm when she removed her makeup and they stayed in place without lifting. The lashes removed well and Alicia was able to pull any glue off and store them back in the box until she wore them again.

Alicia has worn the Gala lashes once, but has worn the Little Black Dress lashes a few times now, it does state on the box that the lashes can be worn 10 times but this will depend on how well you look after the lashes. Alicia looks after the lashes well, removing adhesive and moulding them to shape around the casing them came in before putting them in the box until she wears them again, I would recommend doing that to keep the lashes looking well and to be able to wear them more.

Alicia Wearing The Little Black Dress Lashes

Overall Alicia liked both pairs of lashes, the band is thicker than the lashes she usually wears so they took a little time to get used to, but once she was used to them they were fine. The lashes applied and removed with ease and once Alicia had taken any remnants of lash adhesive off the lashes once she'd removed them, she moulded the lashes around the plastic insert and then kept them in their box until the next time she wore them. The lashes are a good price considering you can wear them 10 times, meaning the price per wear is 79 pence.

One negative both myself and Alicia found was that the lashes don't come with adhesive to apply them, this wasn't a problem for Alicia as she buys Duo lash adhesive, but if she didn't, she wouldn't have had any adhesive to apply the lashes with, it does state on the back of the box that adhesive isn't included but I think it is worth mentioning that you will need to buy adhesive separately.

The lashes are contact lense friendly, Alicia wears contact lenses and hasn't had any problems at all when wearing the lashes.

The Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes are available from Superdrug, you can find the Gala lashes here and the Little Black Dress lashes here. The Kiss lashes are part of a 3 for 2 promotion Superdrug are currently running so now would be a great time to try them.

Have you tried the Lash Couture Faux Mink lashes? Do you wear false lashes on a regular basis like Alicia or for an occasion? Let me know in the comments section below.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Unwash Dry Cleanser - Review

Unwash Dry Cleanser

Hello Lovelies

I am pretty sure you'll know by know, if you're a regular reader of my blog, that I suffer from very oily hair, in fact the saying "grease ball" is something I would use to describe my hair most of the time and it certainly would be if I didn't follow a hair care routine.

My hair became oily after the birth of my youngest daughter and up until then, I would describe my hair as normal, it was fine but I had a lot of it and it wasn't oily, wasn't dry, just normal. I had my youngest daughter and the within a week my hair had transformed into it's grease ball status and has stayed the same ever since. I must have tried every oily hair shampoo and build up shampoo on the market and I am still trying products.

One product I use a lot of and has to be my holy grail hair product, is dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is my lifesaver and after trying possibly every single brand on the market bar a couple, I had settled on a brand I liked and worked really well for me.

Recently I tried out some hair products from the brand Unwash (see that blogpost here) I tried out their Unwash Try Me Intro Travel Kit, and a couple of weeks ago I received another product from Unwash, their Dry Cleanser.

Unwash Dry Cleanser

The Unwash Dry Cleanser (£19.95) absorbs excess oils without leaving any residue and is suitable for all hair types. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals, but contains Volcanic Ash which is a unique ingredient able to absorb the oils at the roots, it also contains Vitamin E and Panthenol to condition and strengthen the hair and Plant Extract to help nurture the hair from bounce, body and shine.

The Dry Cleanser comes in a aerosol can which is green in colour with black illustration and lettering. The spray nozzle is white in colour.

Unwash Dry Cleanser

Unwash Dry Cleanser

I have found a hair care routine that is working for me at the moment, and I have been able to incorporate the Dry Cleanser into that routine nicely. If you would like a blog post about my hair care routine please let me know.

Using The Dry Cleanser

The best way to use the Dry Cleanser is to shake the can well, then hold the can around 6 to 8 inches away from the hair focusing on the roots. Then allow the Dry Cleanser to dry and then distribute through the hair, this is done by rubbing the cleanser into my roots with fingers and then brushing my hair through and then styling as normal, which usually means straightening.

I use the Dry Cleanser when my hair is on day two, which is the day after my hair has been washed. My hair is always washed in a morning, I will have my hair washed and dried off with the hairdryer and then mostly straightened with my hair straighteners, sometimes my hair is put up either into a ponytail or a messy bun and sometimes my daughter will plait the front of my hair to keep it out of my way. The day after, which is day two if I want to wear my hair down again, I use the Dry Cleanser.

Once I have used the Dry Cleanser, my hair isn't left looking or feeling powdery at all and my hair doesn't look white or chalky, it feels lovely and soft and clean and not like it has product in it. My hair stays oil free all day and I am able to wear my hair up on day three if I use some more of the Dry Cleanser.

Overall Thoughts

I really like the Dry Cleanser, it has a nice scent that isn't overpowering, my hair doesn't feel chalky or look powdery after using the cleanser and I am able to wear my hair down the day after washing, and it looks lovely and fresh and not full of product. And then to be able to wear it up the day after that if I wanted to is brilliant and means I could wash my hair every 3 days if I wanted to, which is a rarity for me.

The Dry Cleanser also gives my hair some volume meaning when I use it and have my hair up, my hair looks full at the front and the root giving me a more voluminous look and if I wear my hair down it can be back combed slightly at the root and have a great lift too.

It's a great dry shampoo and does exactly what it says on the tin and I'm really pleased with the results I get when I use it, another great product from Unwash.

If you would like to try the Unwash Dry Cleanser, you can find it on the HQ Hair website here and the rest of the Unwash products can be found on the website here

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Removeil - Review

Removeil

Hello Lovelies

I love trying new things, especially beauty products, so when I was offered the chance to try Removeil I was intrigued by it.

What Is Removeil?

Removeil is a unique skin cleanser/makeup removal cloth, that has been especially studied to remove every trace of makeup, even waterproof makeup, but it also gives an exfoliating treatment every time you use it, using nothing but water.

Removeil (£24.99) removes all makeup, even water proof makeup. It has an exfoliating, oxygenating silver side which makes it a natural antiseptic and antimicrobial when it comes into contact with water. It can be machine washed and is reusable for up to 6 months (approx 250 times). Removeil is easy to use and you need nothing but water to activate it. It is environmentally friendly, free of harmful substances such as nickel, parabens, preservatives, silicones, petroleum jelly and sulfates and it claims to leave your skin smooth and glowing. Dirt and makeup are attracted to the capillaries and not spread around the face, as is with regular cotton pads.
The silver fibre used in Removeil is made by bonding 99.9% pure metallic silver to the surface of a textile fibre. When in contact with water, silver releases ions which kill bacteria and germs that may cause acne and other skin conditions. Silver affects skin in positive ways, helping to hinder imperfections and stimulate microcirculation whilst exfoliating, brightening the skin.
Removeil

Using Removeil

Removeil has two sides, a grey micro fibre side and a black side with silver fibres for exfoliation. To use Removeil, you wet your face and then wet the Removeil by rinsing it under hand hot water and then you remove your makeup with the grey side and once your makeup has been removed, you exfoliate your face using the black side.

The Grey Side Of Removeil

Removeil

The Black/Silver Side Of Removeil

Removeil

Using Removeil - Wetting it by running under hand hot water.

Removeil

Removeil

The first time I used Removeil I had a full face of makeup on including waterproof mascara, glittery eyeshadow, waterproof brow products, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, blush and highlight. I used the grey side to remove my makeup and then the black side to exfoliate my face.

I was surprised at how easily my makeup removed and to be honest, I didn't think the Removeil would work, but it did remove my makeup really well.

Removeil

The photograph above shows me when I had removed my makeup, and as you can see the Removeil is full of makeup and my face isn't. Please excuse me looking rather scary, but you can see I don't have any makeup on, this photograph was taken as soon as I had used the grey side of the Removeil and before using the black side.

I decided I would use a makeup remover to see if I had any traces of makeup left on my face, I took a photograph to show you.

Removeil

As you can see from the photograph, there is some waterproof mascara left and a little bit of foundation, this is from my hairline. I was surprised at the amount of makeup left, I thought there would be much more and the amount of makeup I have on my cloth when I second cleanse is more than on the cotton pad, so the Removeil did do a great job of removing my makeup. I then used the black/silver side to exfoliate.

My Thoughts

I was very pleasantly surprised at the results of the Removeil, I really didn't think it would remove my makeup as well as it did. After using the black/silver side my skin did feel lovely and soft and smooth. I have washed the Removeil a few times now and it has been washed every time I use it, so it's been washed a few times too and it washes really well and all traces of makeup wash out when washed.

I think the Removeil is a good product and it removes my makeup really well and using the exfoliating side leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I use it to remove my makeup and I then use my cleanser to remove any makeup that may be left behind and to cleanse my skin before using my regular skincare routine, so I suppose I use it in place of my first cleanse when I am wearing makeup. The Removeil would be a great product for those with sensitive skin who struggle to use products as it is used purely with water, it feels lovely and soft and doesn't drag at the skin at all.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Removeil performed, I thought it would possibly be a gimmick that wouldn't work, but it does work and removes my makeup well, it washes and dries well too and is something I have enjoyed using and will continue to use over the next few months.

If you would like to try the Removeil, you can pick one up from the Removeil website.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Skinny Tan Pre And Post Tanning Products

Skinny Tan Pre Tanning Products

Hello Lovelies

A couple of weeks ago, I received a box full of products from the brand Skinny Tan. The box I received recently contained a wide selection of products including pre tanning products, different types of tan, post tanning products and applicators.

As soon as I opened the box, I knew who the perfect person to try out the products for my review posts would be, my tanning Guinea Pig, my daughter Lissy. Lissy is a real tanning guru and has tried numerous false tans over the years, she is also a pro at application and often tans her friends and even my mum has asked her to tan her before a trip to Italy in May.

The products I received are the Skinny Tan Mousse in dark, the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner, the Skinny Tan Pre Tan Primer, the Skinny Tan After Glow Gloss and the Skinny Tan Exfoliating Mitt. Today I am going to share Lissy's thoughts on a couple of the products, the Pre Tan Primer and the Exfoliating Mitt. I was going to write a post on all the products, but I feel the post would be too long so I am going to split it up into pre tanning and post tanning, then tanning products, so I will be posting a review on the tanning products soon.

About Skinny Tan

Skinny Tan is made with the highest quality naturally derived tanning actives, coconut, guarana, almond oil, sunflower oil and grape seed oil and will not dry or irritate the skin. The tan is paraben free, and does not contain any animal products nor has it been tested on animals, Skinny Tan are also a proud member of PETA.

Skinny Tan Pre -Tan Primer - £9.99

Skinny Tan Pre Tan Primer

Skinny Tan Pre Tan Primer

The Pre -Tan Primer is a cream based scrub product containing crushed walnut shells, it is off white in colour, the primer smells lovely and has a coconut scent to it, it isn't over powering and is a really nice scent. The primer has a creamy consistency it is quite thin in consistency but not so thin you lose it down the shower plug as soon as you squeeze it out.

Lissy said that she finds having the scrub in a tube is her preferred packaging method when it comes to body scrubs as she finds it easier to apply. Once squeezed quite lightly the scrub comes out of the tube very easily so it is best to use a light pressure when squeezing the tube so you don't have too much product come out.

Skinny Tan Exfoliating Mitt - £5.99 - £7.99

Skinny Tan Exfoliating Mitt

Skinny Tan Exfoliating Mitt

Skinny Tan Exfoliating Mitt

The Exfoliating Mitt is a double-sided mitt, the orange side is for exfoliation and the brown side is for dermabrasion and is ideal for removing tan or correcting any tanning mistakes. Although the mitt is ideal for exfoliation and dermabrasion it feels soft to the touch. It is a cuffed mitt with the Skinny Tan logo on the cuff, the mitt washes and dries well.

The mitt can be used pre-tanning to prepare the body for tanning so the body is nice and smooth, it can also be used to remove any tanning mistakes or to remove tan completely and can be used with or without the Pre Tan Primer.

Using The Products

Pre Tanning

Lissy has used both the Pre-Tan Primer and the Exfoliating Mitt alone and together and both leave her skin soft and smooth. She has used both the primer and the mitt before tanning, she finds the orange side of the mitt is brilliant for exfoliation and likes to use it alone and with the primer. Likewise, she has also used the primer alone, applying it with her hands or a washcloth, she has used it with the mitt. Lissy prefers to use the primer with the mitt before tanning, it is also great to use before going away on holiday. A few years ago some friends we met on holiday told me that they always exfoliate really well for a few weeks before they go on holiday as it helps keep their tan since then I have been doing the same as has Alicia before we go away and it really does work so the primer and the mitt will be brilliant to use before we go on holiday.

Post Tanning

When Lissy needed to remove her tan, she used the Pre-Tan Primer and the brown side of the Exfoliating Mitt and she said it is the best method of tan removal she has ever used and the primer and mitt are the only products that have ever completely removed her tan in one use, usually, she is scrubbing away in the shower every day for days to remove her tan but she said the primer and mitt removed every single trace of tan in just one use. Considering Lissy is a pro tanner, she is also used to removing tan and has tried many different products to remove her tan, some much more expensive than Skinny Tan but she said they have been nowhere near as good, and the Skinny Tan Pre-Tan Primer and Exfoliating Mitt are the best products she has ever used to remove her tan.

Overall Thoughts

Overall Lissy is very happy with the performance of both the Pre-Tan Primer and the Exfoliating Mitt both pre and post tanning and she said she would definitely repurchase both items. Lissy also recommends both products without tanning and purely for exfoliating purposes, either before a holiday to help keep a tan or just to keep your body exfoliated, she said both are excellent and do a fabulous job and even for people like me who don't tan very often or never tan, they are great products for exfoliation and keeping the skin soft and smooth. I am suffering from Urticaria (a horrid rash) at the moment and have been for more than 5 weeks but I cannot wait to try the primer and mitt and have lovely soft, smooth skin.

If you would like to try either product, you can find them on the Skinny Tan website here or the Superdrug website here.

Have you tried the Skinny Tan Pre-Tan Primer or Exfoliating Mitt or both? Do you tan or do you exfoliate but not tan? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks

Hello Lovelies

I love blush, it is one of my favourite makeup products to use and having dry skin I especially like to use cream blush. So a couple of months ago when I saw the L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks had launched, I picked up 2 out of the 3 shades immediately and since then I have used them a lot and today I am going to share my thoughts on them with you.

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks

The shades I chose are Pinkabilly (left) and Fuchsia Flame, there is another shade available called Tangerine but I didn't think I would wear it much so I didn't pick it up.

What L'Oreal Say About The Blush Paint Sticks - £6.99

Paint it loud. Ultra bold. Ultra daring. Our 1st super saturated, high impact blush paints.
Achieve a natural flush, statement pop of colour or sculpted cheekbone in just one stroke with our effortless, cream to powder chubby blush paint.

My Thoughts - Packaging, Application & Wear

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks

I really like the packaging, it looks nice and sleek with the black with silver lettering and I like how the lid is the colour of the shade inside, it makes things easier when looking for products in my makeup bag/storage. The tube has a twist up application method that also twists back down should you twist it up too much.

Pinkabilly- £6.99

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Stick in Pinkabilly

Fuchsia Flame - £6.99

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Stick in Fuchsia Flame

The blush sticks have a rounded end which makes applying them simple. I apply the blush sticks straight from the tube onto my cheek and then use either my beauty blender or my MAC 130 brush to blend it out. I apply the blush on top of my foundation and blend it out and then apply my powder once all my cream products are applied.

Both shades are very pigmented, especially Fuchsia Flame so it is advisable to use it with a light hand to avoid the Aunt Sally look, if applied with a light hand it gives a lovely pink flush to my cheeks and Pinkabilly gives a gorgeous peachy/pink flush. Both shades are stunning but my favourite out of the two is definitely Pinkabilly it is the perfect shade for me, during Spring and Summer my favourite blush, lip and nail shade is coral or a pinky coral, basically pink or coral but this is the perfect shade and looks lovely, it is a gorgeous coral with pinky tones it is so pretty. Once the blush sticks are applied and I have powdered they leave a lovely flush to the skin that lasts all day.

Swatches

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Stick Swatches

I am in love with both the blush paint sticks and my only negative is that I wish there were more shades available, maybe a neutral shade too, but I suppose a girl can't have everything and maybe L'Oreal will launch some more shades, who knows? But for now, I am more than happy with the 2 shades I have and they will take me through Spring and Summer perfectly.

If you would like to try the L'Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Chubby Sticks, you can find them on the Superdrug website here and are currently part of a 3 for 2 promotion, there is also a free tote bag available with 3 products purchased from the 3 for 2 promotion, so it is a fabulous time to try them.

Have you tried the blush paint sticks? Which is your favourite out of the 2 shades I have? Let me know in the comments section below.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadows Review And Swatches

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadows Review And Swatches

Hello Lovelies

You have probably seen the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows popping up on blogs and social media for the last couple of months now, they have caused quite a stir and there is huge hype surrounding them, and to be fair there is no denying that seeing a photograph of them gives an instant feeling of "I really need those in my life" and I felt exactly like that after seeing them for the first time. I was lucky and got 2 shades for my birthday and then I purchased a 3rd shade when ASOS had a 20% off discount code so I now own 3 shades and have been trying them out for the last couple of months and today I am going to let you know if I think they are worth they hype.

How Stila Describe The Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows

Jewels for the eyes! Lavish lids with this dazzling, long-wearing liquid, sparkle eye shadow. The perfect mix of pearl and glitter adorns eyes with incredible luster and shimmer.

  • Varying sizes of pearl and glitter for maximum sparkle
  • Lightweight, water-infused formula glides on effortlessly, then dries down smoothly, locking in sparkle with minimal fallout
  • Long-lasting sparkle that stays put
  • Luxuriously smooth laydown
  • Lightweight, comfortable wear
My Thoughts, Application & Swatches

The shades I have are Kitten Karma, Rose Gold Retro and Smoky Storm. I haven't ever used a liquid eyeshadow before so the concept was totally new to me and although the swatches I'd seen looked amazing, I wasn't sure how I'd get on with the formula. The packaging is lovely, it is square in shape with a clear part showing the liquid shadow and a matte gold with gold lettering with the Stila logo on the clear part, the applicator is quite a short wand with a thin paddle type applicator.

Kitten Karma - £23.00

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Kitten Karma

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Kitten Karma

Kitten Karma is a lovely warm peachy shade, out of all 3 shades Kitten Karma has the chunkiest glitter formula although it isn't exactly chunky it just feels like it has more particles than the other shades I have. It is stunning and looks so nice with a neutral matte shade in the crease and under the lower lash line and Kitten Karma all over the lid.

Rose Gold Retro - £23.00

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Rose Gold Retro

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Rose Gold Retro

Rose Gold Retro is a beautiful warm coppery shade and looks stunning with a warm matte shadow blended into the crease and under the lower lash line, I also like to wear it with a dark brown crease colour using a mid brown as my transition shade. Rose Gold Retro feels smooth in texture, but is very sparkly.

Smoky Storm - £23.00

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Smoky Storm

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow In Smoky Storm

Smoky Storm is a warm mid brown with a gold look to it, again it is smoother in texture than Kitten Karma but not as smooth as Rose Gold Retro, I like to wear this with a dark brown in my crease using a mid brown as a transition shade, I also take the dark brown under my lower lash line.

Before I apply the shadows I use my MAC Painterly Paint Pot as a base, I always use a base because my eyelids are super oily. I apply the liquid eyeshadow by taking a flat shadow brush and taking some of the product off the wand and applying it to my eye with the flat shader brush. I then use a fluffy brush to tidy up the crease area and just to neaten everything up. I have used all 3 shades using the applicator and applying the shadow straight to my eye but I prefer to use a brush, I think just because that's what I am used to, using the applicator is absolutely fine.

All 3 shades apply with ease and aren't messy at all, I was afraid they would be difficult to apply and would smudge everywhere, but they don't at all and are super easy to apply. I have experienced the tiniest amount of fallout with all 3 shades, it's hardly worth mentioning because it is so minimal and is easily removed with a cotton bud. I haven't experienced any creasing at all, nor have I experienced any fading or wearing away, once applied these are going nowhere.  The longest I have worn one of the liquid eyeshadows is 12.5 hours and it looked exactly as when I first applied it, when I removed it, they remove easily with any makeup remover or cleanser.

Swatches

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Swatches

I adore the liquid eyeshadows and honestly cannot think of a bad thing to say about them, they all look amazing on and every time I wear them I am asked what eye make up I am wearing and I receive more compliments when I'm wearing these than with any other eyeshadow I own. I have even had to write down the name and shade for a sales assistant in Primark because she loved it so much. Using glitter can be a real pain and very messy too, but these are perfect for a stunning sparkly look that can be worn both during the day and for an evening look without any mess and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

You can find the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows on the Stila website here and during the Easter weekend, Stila have 20% off everything using the code EASTER20 meaning they are £18.40 rather than £23.00 and there is free delivery too, so a perfect time to pick them up!

Have you tried the Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows? Which shade out of the 3 I have is your favourite? Let me know in the comments section below.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment - Review Featuring Before And After Photographs

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

Hello Lovelies

A few weeks ago, I received the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment (£20.00) and I knew instantly who would be my guinea pig to test this product for my review.

My youngest daughter Alicia suffers from Trichotillomania as a result of her anxiety and because of this she wears false eye lashes every day, wearing the false lashes results is a viscous circle because removing them causes her eye lashes to become weak and fall out and as a result of both the false lashes and the Trichotillamania she has very sparse lashes.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

The Lash Growth Treatment is a clear treatment gel is a peptide booster that contains extract of laminaria (sea weed) and plvetia (sea algae) and lemon flavenoid to promote growth and fullness. The gel is paraben free and suitable for all skin types and claims to give you thicker, fuller and longer lashes in just 30 days. The treatment gel is opthamologically tested and can be worn alone or underneath your mascara.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

The packaging of the treatment gel is lovely and looks very classy and luxurious, the tube is the signature Joan Collins gold and has Joan Collins written around the lid of the treatment. The applicator is a clear mascara wand which is quite long but is easy to use and coats the lashes well.

Alicia has been using the treatment gel at night on bare lashes, to be honest neither of us had high hopes for this product and thought it would be a gimmick but Alicia persevered and applied each night before getting into bed, now I have to say that she hasn't applied the treatment every single night, some nights she has forgotten so we decided that we would wait and give it longer than the 30 days because Alicia does forget some nights to apply it.

Alicia wears contact lenses and hasn't had any problems at all using the gel, it hasn't stung her eyes and she said it applies really well and the wand is easy to use and coats both her top and bottom lashes really well.

The Results

Alicia first noticed her lashes looking different she thinks around 10 times after she'd used the treatment, her lashes were looking longer and fuller and now she has been using the treatment for around 8 weeks, not daily but she has definitely used the treatment 30 times, Alicia is really impressed with her lashes, her top lashes are the ones she pulls out and where she wears the false lashes, she said the lashes she has are looking a lot better and if she stopped wearing the false lashes she feels they would look amazing but at the moment she can't do that. But the difference in Alicia's bottom lashes is amazing and we can only assume that without the false lashes and her pulling them out, her top lashes would be the same.

Alicia had short bottom lashes and they were sparse near the inner corner of her eye and around the first third of her bottom lash line but they look amazing now, they are so much fuller and longer and she has lashes where she didn't have them before. The photograph below is a before and after photograph and although Alicia is wearing false lashes on her top lashes in both photographs, you can see a big difference to her bottom lashes.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment Before & After

Alicia is thrilled with the way her bottom lashes look and she continues to use the lash treatment gel, when asked if she would recommend it and repurchase it, she said yes.

I am going to start applying the lash gel treatment to my brows to see if it helps with my sparse brows that do not grow, I shall report back if it does but I have heard it is a great brow treatment too and it is a lot cheaper than the brow treatment I was going to buy, so if it works it will have saved me some money too.

Alicia is thrilled with the Class Act Lash Growth Treatment and as you can see it has worked amazingly for her, if you would like to try it, you can find it on the Joan Collins Beauty website here or the Marks & Spencer website here

Have you tried the Class Act Lash Growth Treatment? Or is it something you would like to try? Chat with me in the comments section below and let me know.

The Body Shop Almond Milk And Honey Range

The Body Shop Almond Milk And Honey Range

Hello Lovelies

I have been a big fan of The Body Shop since my teenage years when I used to buy their Dewberry and White Musk perfumes to wear to school. These days the products I buy the most are some skincare items, their body scrubs and body butters and I especially like to try their new ranges when they launch, so when I received some products from their latest product launch, the Almond Milk & Honey range, I was really looking forward to trying them, especially as they are specially formulated for dry and sensitive skin, both of which I have.

The Body Shop Almond Milk And Honey Range

The products I received are the Soothing & Caring Cleansing Bar, the Calming & Protecting Hand Cream, the Shower Cream and the Restoring Body Butter. The range is enriched with nourishing organic almond oil from Spain and caring community trade honey from Ethiopia, the products are colourant free, cream based formula's and are said to provide up to 48 hours moisturisation and help to soothe, restore and protect your skin.

Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Cleansing Bar - £4.00

The Body Shop Almond Milk And Honey Soothing & Caring Cleansing Bar

I hadn't used a bar of soap for many years, we always use shower gels, creams, mousses etc so I was really looking forward to using the cleansing bar since it had been such a long time since I had used one.

The cleansing bar like all the range smells lovely, for me the honey scent is more prominent than the almond scent but the range smells amazing, really fresh and sweet at the same time and not how I expected at all, in a good way. The cleansing bar lathered up really well and creates lovely soft bubbles, it feels lovely and moisturising on my skin and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after I've used it.

It felt strange using a cleansing bar after so long but it is lovely and does leave me feeling clean and fresh, I am told that cleansing bars are also brilliant for cleaning makeup brushes and beauty blenders, but I am yet to try that. The only negative I have about the cleansing bar is storing it, we don't have a soap dish so I let it dry and put it back in the packet when I've used it which isn't ideal so if you have any storage suggestions, please let me know.

Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream - £4.00

The Body Shop Almond Milk And Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream

I used to wear hand cream daily during my nursing career but up until a few months ago when I received a few different hand creams as PR packages, I hadn't worn it at all. Three years ago I broke my arm in 2 places after a fall and when my cast was removed, my hand and arm were very dry so I used a hand cream on my dry arm and hand, but then once my skin was better I got out of the habit of using it and didn't use hand cream until receiving a few different brands via the PR parcels a few months ago, and since receiving those I have been using hand creams again and have found myself really enjoying using them.

The Almond Milk & Honey hand cream smells beautiful and feels extremely nourishing, it sinks in really nicely so I'm not sat waiting ages for it to dry, I was pleasantly surprised at just how quickly it sank into my skin the first time I used it. I have really enjoyed using the hand cream, the scent is lovely and does last a while, which I like. My hands feel so soft and very nourished and hydrated after using the hand cream, I really like it, it is an ideal size for popping into my bag too or to take on holiday, I never thought I would be recommending hand cream, but I love this one.

Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream - £2.00 (60ml) £5.00 (250ml)

I really like the shower cream, as do the rest of my family members. I popped this into our bathroom drawers where we keep all our shower products and hair products and it has been well used and well loved too. The shower cream again smells amazing and lathers up really well, I use one of the shower scrunchies (is that even what they're called?) and a little really does go a long way with this, it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean and not tight at all and both my daughters love it too, they have both commented on the scent and how lovely their skin feels after using it, my other half has even used it too and he gave it a thumbs up, so it's a firm family favourite in our house.

Almond Milk & Honey Restoring Body Butter - £6.00 (50ml) £15.00 (200ml)

I love the Body Shop body butters, I have been purchasing them for years and years and we always take a tub on holiday with us as they are perfect for hydrating the skin after a day in the sun. The Almond Milk & Honey body butter is lovely, it smells amazing and feels extremely nourishing and hydrating on the skin. The body butter applies nicely and rubs in to my skin really well, my only negative is that it does take a few minutes to dry but once dry it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, I find it best to use in an evening before bed, in the morning my skin feels lovely and soft, it is a lovely product and ideal if like me, you have dry skin.

Overall Thoughts

I really like the Almond Milk & Honey range, it smells amazing and all the products I tried I liked, some more than others and some I loved, but there isn't a product I could say I didn't like.  I think my favourite product has to be the hand cream and I never thought I would be saying that,  but it is so good and I love how quickly it sinks into my skin. All in all a lovely range that smells incredible and leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft, what's not to like?

Fancy trying the range yourself? You can find it online here, products priced from £2.00.
