As you may have seen I recently posted all about my youngest daughter Alicia's 18th birthday (read that post here) and since then I have been asked a lot where myself and Alicia got our dresses from so I thought I would do a OOTD post for you all.
Alicia wore a beautiful maxi dress with a plunging neckline, and lovely key hole back (unfortunately I don't have a photograph of the back of Alicia's dress but the links included do show the back of the dress) the dress was a lovely raspberry pink colour and I'm sure you'll agree Alicia looked stunning. She teamed the dress with some silver sling back high heeled shoes with a platform and peep toe, the shoes are covered in diamante type gems adding some sparkle and her bag was a diamante clutch bag. Alicia wore a french manicure on her finger and toe nails.
We bought Alicia's dress from Topshop in January, unfortunately it isn't available to buy there now but I found it in a peachy nude colour and black on the ASOS website. Her shoes we bought a couple of years ago for her to wear for her year 11 prom, they were an ebay bargain and she has worn them so many times, I would and she would highly recommend them for a party or night out or even bride or bridesmaid shoe, Alicia said they are comfortable to wear and not too high. Alicia's bag was also bought for her year 11 prom and again was an ebay bargain and again has been used many times since and has been fine.
I wore a black body con style midi dress with a bardot neckline and strap detailing, I thought the neckline was a little different and just adding that little "something" to an otherwise very plain dress and it meant I could wear a regular bra and not worry about straps showing. I wore a Black and diamante statement necklace that I received at Christmas and my shoes were Black peep toe sling back shoes with a block heel, I can't wear very high heels and these are a perfect hight for me to wear for an evening out or occasion. I teamed the outfit with a Black and White clutch bag from Primark and wore Orly's Beach Cruiser on my finger and toe nails which is a neon pink colour.
I do have a photograph of me trying on my dress which shall we say is rather un flattering because I have no make up on and my hair is scraped back but you can see the neckline of the dress better so I will be brave and include it.
Not the best photograph but it does show the neckline detail of the dress better I think.
So those were the outfits myself and Alicia wore for Alicia's 18th birthday party, I hope you like them. If you have any questions regarding the outfits or anything else please leave them in the comments section and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading, much love as always,
