W7 In The Buff - Lightly Toasted Palette

W7 In The Buff - Lightly Toasted Palette

Hello Lovelies

W7 is a brand I had heard a lot of great things about but hadn't ever tried, but I have been trying several W7 products over the last few weeks and want to share my thoughts on those products with you and the first product I am going to share with you is the In The Buff Lightly Toasted palette.

The lightly toasted palette is a neutral eyeshadow palette containing 12 shades, there are a couple of matte shades and the rest either satin, shimmer and there is a glitter shade too so there is something for everyone, the shade range is fantastic so numerous eye looks can be easily be created with the lightly toasted palette from a simple daytime look to a dark smoky evening look, it's a really versatile palette. The packaging is a metal box similar to a metal pencil case if I had to compare it and then inside the shadows are housed in an almost foam/rubber type material, there is a double ended applicator within the palette with a brush on one end and a sponge on the other. On the back of the tin are the shadow names and a list of ingredients.

I have used the palette to create quite a few looks over the last few weeks and I haven't found a shade I am disappointed in, all the shades are highly pigmented, apply beautifully and blend effortlessly, I do get a little fallout but not a huge amount and I am able to apply my foundation first without the worry I will get too much fall out. I always use an eye primer when applying my make up because all eye shadows crease on me whether I pay £1 for them or £10 for them they crease,  I used a primer when using the palette and didn't experience any creasing at all.

As you can see from the swatches the shades are absolutely stunning and I am really impressed with the Lightly Toasted palette, all 12 shades have great pigmentation and excellent colour payoff, they are lovely to use and every look I have created I have loved. My favourite shades are Teddy Bear, Wonderland, Happy, Magic and It's A Dream but I love them all Up In Smoke looks beautiful worn alone to create a one shadow smoky eye, the glitter particles really shine through and it looks stunning, I like to use Dawn under my lower lash line for something I little different and it looks lovely, there isn't a shade I don't like in this palette it's beautiful.

I highly recommend the palette which is currently on sale on the Just My Look website for just £4.99 which is an amazing price for a palette of such brilliant quality, Just My Look is a fantastic website selling many different beauty brands all at affordable prices, they have some absolutely fantastic products and offer free UK tracked delivery and if you order before 2pm your order is despatched the same day and with such affordable prices for the products to get free shipping too is amazing!

If you would like to purchase the Lightly Toasted palette, you can find it HERE on the Just My Look website for £4.99 (was £9.99) with free UK delivery.

Have you tried any W7 products? What are your favourites?

Thank you for reading, much love as always

January Beauty And Fashion Haul

January Beauty And Fashion Haul

Hello Lovelies

I'm sure you know by now that I love a bit of on line shopping, I do all my shopping on line because I am housebound due to illness so on line shopping is a God send to me, I recently did some shopping and thought I would share with you what I bought.

The first place I did some shopping was Next, I like Next they have some great things and I usually buy a few things from there throughout the year and if you saw my fashion wish list post a couple of weeks ago (you can read it here if you haven't done so and would like to) you would have seen me mention a skirt I liked, that is what I picked up from Next.

My First Beauty And Fashion Haul Of 2016

The skirt is khaki and is also available in black but since I have a lot of black I decided to go with the khaki, (please excuse the pink cast on the photograph, it was taken in my daughters very pink bedroom) it is made from a jersey material and is a pull on style, the buttons down the centre of the skirt are for decoration purposes and do not unfasten. The skirt comes to just above my knee and I am 5ft 5" tall, it looks nice and I thought would be nice to wear all year round, it is worth mentioning that the black one is a faded black shade and not solid black, the khaki is the same but it is less obvious. The skirt was £22.00 and is available from the Next website.

I love River Island and always buy my leggings from there, but I do find things throughout the year I like too, I have seen a couple of clothing items I really like but my size was unavailable, don't you hate it when that happens? So I just picked up some earrings I really liked this time.

My First Beauty And Fashion Haul Of 2016

My First Beauty And Fashion Haul Of 2016

I really love the front and back style earrings but hadn't tried any and when I saw these on the River Island website I fell in love, they are so pretty, I love the little diamante in the centre of the daisy and on the stud part too, they are really lovely earrings and ones I will get lots of wear out of all year round. The earrings were £6.99 and are available on the River Island website.

Boots is one of my go to websites for beauty products, I like to browse different sections of the site and pop items in my basket, we have a Boots store within walking distance so if my order is under the free delivery bracket I have my order delivered to that store and then Simon or one of the girls pick it up for me, you don't have to pick it up yourself, as long as the person collecting the parcel has your order number it's fine, it's really handy and if you order before 8pm your order is in store after 12pm the next day which is brilliant, and free.

January Beauty And Fashion Haul

The first thing I picked up from Boots is the Wet Brush and naturally I got it in bright pink, how could I not? I have a real problem with my hair falling out and when my hair is brushed especially when it's wet, I lose a lot of hair and by a lot I mean a handful and this is every time my wet hair is brushed through, I lost about half as much every morning when my hair is brushed and usually put into a pony tail, my hair is very thin and I had read reviews from people saying the Wet Brush doesn't pull at the hair and as a result you don't lose as much hair so I bought the brush in the hope it helps the amount of hair I am losing. The Wet Brush was £11.99 and is available on the Boots website.

January Beauty And Fashion Haul

The next item I purchased is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Antwerp, I have wanted to try out one of the soft matte lip cream for a long time but haven't ever picked one up, since NYX  launched in Boots stores there have been a lot of blog posts on their products and I have seen a lot of good reviews on the soft matte lip creams, amongst other products so I thought I would pick one up, I searched out swatches on line and Antwerp looked like a nice coral shade which as you probably know is one of my most worn summer shades and favourites so I picked it up. The NYX soft matte lip cream was £5.50 and is available on the Boots website.

January Beauty And Fashion Haul

The last thing I picked up from Boots is the Maybelline Super Stay 3D Gel Effect Plumping Top Coat, I wouldn't be me if I didn't pick up a nail product would I? I have used the Orly Glosser top coat for years and years and adore it but I do like to try out other brands too and the gel like polishes and top coats always seem to take my eye, I used to have regular salon gel manicures and loved the results I got and would love to get the same results at home so love to try high street polishes and top coats to see if I can find the perfect one to give me that result. The top coat is a new product and I could only find a couple of reviews on it but both were good so fingers crossed I like it too. The top coat was £4.99 and is available on the Boots website.

Those are all the things I picked up on my recent on line shopping spree, I will of course be reviewing both the lip creme and top coat as well as the wet brush and will feature the skirt and earrings in a fashion post.

Have you tried any of the beauty products I picked up? Or do you have the skirt or earrings? Let me know if you do and what you think by chatting to me in the comments, also let me know which item or items you liked best.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

Hello Lovelies

I love trying out new brands of make up and recently I have been trying out a few different make up products from Avon, today I am going to share those products with you and also show you a look I created with them. I had never tried Avon make up products as an adult before, my mum used to have a lot of Avon products whilst I was growing up so I am sure I have tried items of hers throughout my younger years but since buying my own make up I haven't ever tried anything from Avon and after recently trying some of their matte lipsticks (you can see that post here) and loving them, I couldn't wait to try out some more of their make up products.

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

I loved the Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad in Gilded Metallics as soon as I opened the packaging, the shades looked beautiful, the packaging is also really lovely and sleek and classy looking and there is a good sized mirror in the palette too which I liked, the palette does come with a sponge applicator but I used my own make up brushes to apply the eyeshadow as this is my preferred method of application.

I like that the shades are numbered giving you the choice of using them in the order in which they are numbered or using them how you prefer. The eyeshadows have a lovely texture, they applied well and blended effortlessly and had a great colour payoff and I think for the price it is a really great little palette and would recommend it. My favourite shades are numbers 2 and 4 but I love all 4 shades, they all look beautiful together but also separate too and all 4 shades are great as a one colour look sweeping them over the lid and blending up towards the crease for an easy but stunning eye look.

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

Again I loved the packaging of the blush it has the same glossy black classy packaging as the eyeshadow quad and is lovely, the blush comes with a brush which I did use and worked really well. I must admit when I saw the shade of the blush in the palette I really didn't think I would like it but once I applied it I loved it. It is as the name suggests a lovely rich russet shade and one that is ideal for the winter months but could be worn all year round and would look great with a variety of different make up looks, I really liked it and was pleasantly surprised. It applied beautifully and wore well all day, the blush is described on the Avon website as silky and luxurious and I have to agree, it does feel lovely when applied and gives a beautiful finish that isn't overly shiny, I usually opt for a matte blush but this gives a subtle sheen and a really lovely finish and I really like it. It is a great price for 10g of product too.

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

As I said I have tried some of the Avon matte lipsticks before and loved them but this was completely new shade for me to try and one that is perfect for the winter months and I couldn't wait to try it. I love the packaging of the Perfectly Matte lipsticks the black and silver looks lovely and very classy too and lots of my friends have commented on how nice the packaging is. I love deep plum shades for the winter months, when I first opened Superb Wine I thought it would be too dark for me but it doesn't transfer as dark on the lips as it appears in the bullet, I find that with all my plum toned lip products, it is a lovely shade and looked great with the blush and eyeshadows. Superb Wine is a great dupe for the MAC lipstick in the shade Sin, my daughter has Sin and we compared the 2 and they are almost identical, Superb Wine applies well, doesn't bleed, it isn't drying on the lips at all and has a fantastic wear time, who needs MAC?

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon

The Look I Created

To create the look I used number 1 in the eyshadow palette all over the lid to add a subtle golden sheen to my lids, I then applied number 2 on top of that and used number 4 in the outer corners of my eye and through my crease, I used numbers 3 and 4 underneath my lower lash line and a little of number 1 in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten. I used the blush on the apples of my cheeks and upwards a little towards my temple, I did add a little highlight to the top of my cheekbones also. I applied the lipstick straight from the bullet.

A Winter Make Up Look With Avon
Please excuse my very wrinkly eye lids!

I am really happy with the make up look, the shadows applied well and blended beautifully and the blush gives such a lovely silky luminous glow to the skin that lasts all day, the lipstick is a beautiful shade for the winter months and had an excellent wear time too, I am really impressed with all the products I have tried and would highly recommend them all, the are all excellent products and are all a brilliant price too and if you are like I was and haven't ever tried any Avon makeup I would definitely recommend it, I will certainly be checking out their website and trying out some more of their products, I have loved all the beauty products I have tried from Avon so far and think you will too.

If you would like to try Avon products you can find them online on the Avon website HERE or to find the products I used you can find the eyeshadow quad HERE for £9.00 the blush HERE for £4.50 (was £6.50) and the lipstick HERE for £7.50.

Have you tried Avon make up? What are your favourite Avon makeup products?

My Wishlist Wednesday - Fashion

Hello Lovelies

Today I have my "Wishlist Wednesday" post for you and this weeks wish list is a fashion wish list, I have some accessories for you today too. I'm really pleased you are enjoying my wish list posts, thank you so much for your fabulous feedback, and now for todays " Wishlist Wednesday".

1. River Island Black Fringed Ankle Boots - £40.00 - I really like these boots and £40.00 isn't a bad price at all for suede boots, I think they would look lovely with both dresses and skirts as well as jeans and leggings and they're totally different from any other boots I own.

2. New Look Bear Print Socks - £1.99 -  If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that bears are very special to me, Simon and our girls and these are pink too, perfect! All the socks on the New Look website are on offer for 3 pairs for £4.00 and there are lots to choose from but the bears are my favourites.

3. New Look Black Leather Look A Line Skirt - £14.99 - I really like leather look skirts, I have tried one on and did really like it but I do wonder if I am a little shall we say "mature" to wear one, I also like another leather look skirt on the New Look website it's very similar but has zip pockets on the side and is £19.99, I really like both but am still undecided because I'm not sure they will suit me or if I'm too old, what do you think?

4. River Island Daisy Front & Back Earrings - £6.99 -  I love the front and back style earrings and haven't ever had a pair before but when I saw these I loved them, I love the diamante stud and the little daisies with the diamante in the middle, they're really lovely, a little more than I would like to pay for 1 pair of earrings but very pretty all the same and can be worn both daytime and evening.

5. River Island Black Super Scoop Long Sleeved Top - £14.00 -  I wear a lot of black as you will know if you have read my fashion posts or my previous wish lists and black tops are a staple in my wardrobe, and this super scoop black top caught my eye, it is available in khaki and white too if black isn't for you but it will go with lots of my skirts and I thought would look nice with the leather look skirt too.

6. Adidas Superstar Original White Trainers - £67.00 -  If you saw my previous fashion wish list post (you can read it here if not) you will have seen me feature the silver metallic Adidas Superstar trainers which I adore but don't think I'm brave enough to wear, the plain white ones are much more wearable and I wouldn't have any problems wearing these out. I used to wear superstars all the time years ago and they look great with both skirts and jeans/leggings, I started to wear Converse and for some unknown reason stopped wearing superstars but recently I have fallen in love with them again, they are expensive but they are long lasting and wear well and I think I'll definitely be purchasing these to wear over the spring and summer as a change from my usual Converse.

Those are all the pieces in this weeks wish list Wednesday post, which one is your favourite? What wish list would you like next Wednesday? Fashion, Beauty, a bit of both or something completely different such as home wear or stationary? Let me know.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Favourite Beauty Products Of 2015 - Lip Products

Hello Lovelies

Today I have the next category in my favourite products of 2015 series, I have already covered my favourite base products and you can read that post here if you haven't already and I have also posted my favourite eye products of 2015 and again if you would like to read that post, you can find it here but today as you have probably all already noticed from the image above and the title is my favourite lip products of 2015, now if you know me well you'll know that choosing products for this post was extremely difficult, I own a lot of lipsticks and love them all so choosing my favourites was really hard but I did it and today I am going to share with you what they are and why and also show you swatches of them all too.

Rimmel Kate Moss - 22

This is probably my favourite drugstore/highstreet red lipstick, it is a stunning shade, a true bright red. It has brilliant wear time, it applies well and doesn't bleed and is an excellent affordable red lipstick, if you like a bright red lip this is a must. It is available to buy HERE for £5.49.

Sephora Colour Lip Last - Coral Calling 15

My daughter bought me this lipstick back from her holidays in October last year, I had never tried a Sephora lipstick before but I absolutely adore it, it feels very creamy when applied but dries to a matte finish and believe me when I say it does not move, it has an incredible wear time, on the website it is described as a semi-matte finish but it is matte when dry so maybe the semi-matte is because it doesn't apply matte? If you know please let me know, but that aside it is amazing and I definitely want to try some more of these, my youngest daughter has a nude shade and she loves it too, the colour is stunning too it's an orange/coral and is a shade I will wear all year round, I love it! It is available to buy HERE for $14 (around £9.50) Sephora does ship to the UK.

MAC - Viva Glam Nicki

I love this lipstick, it is one of my most worn spring/summer shades, it looks like a neon coral in the bullet but is more pink on my lips, I have very blue lips because of the medication I take and they do throw lipstick colours off, on my daughters it is a neon coral, it is a stunning shade and when both myself or my daughters wear it we are always asked what it is. Unfortunately this lipstick is no longer available to buy from MAC on line but I know some people have picked it up from CCO stores so keep an eye out for it at those stores if you like it.

MAC - Chatterbox

This is a very well loved lipstick as you can see from how much product is left, a few years ago the only lipstick shades I wore were nude and very pale pink and MACs Angel was about as brave as I got, but I wanted to branch out and get a little more daring and Chatterbox was my first brighter lipstick purchase although it isn't really bright it's a great transitional choice if you want to try something a little more daring. I love it, it's a gorgeous shade of pink and is often my go to lipstick when I'm having a "I don't know what lipstick to wear" day. It is available to buy HERE for £15.50.

MAC - Viva Glam Miley 1

Viva glam Miley was released last year around Valentines day which is my birthday and it couldn't have launched at a better time, I love bright pink lipstick and this had Zoe written all over it, I wear it all the time and love to wear it with an all black outfit and a neutral eye look, it is a stunning shade and again one that is no longer available on line but you maybe lucky enough to pick one up on a MAC counter as some do still have limited stock.

Nars Satin Lip Pencil - Yu

Nars Yu is one of my favourite bright pink lip choices, when I got this in the post I worried it wasn't going to suit me because it's a blue toned pink and I struggle with blue toned lip products because of my already extremely blue lips but when I tried it for the first time, I loved it! It is one of the most long wearing lip products I have ever tried, it applies beautifully, is a lovely formula, satin but not too glossy and is a stunning shade, if you haven't ever tried any of the Nars satin lip pencils I would highly recommend them, I have some more on my wish list along with some of the matte ones too. Yu is available to buy HERE for £19.00 inc delivery.

MAC - La Vie En Rouge

I adore La Vie En Rouge, it was part of the MAC Matte collection in 2014 when MAC released 4 matte lipsticks Heroin, La Vie En Rouge, Damn Glamorous and Fashion Revival, I love red lipsticks so La Vie En Rouge was always going to be my favourite of the 4 and when my daughter came home with this as a surprise for me I was thrilled, she knows me well. It's a stunning coral toned red but a bright red all the same, the matte formula isn't drying on the lips at all, it applies well and the wear time is excellent, I get around 6 hours even with eating and drinking, it doesn't bleed at all and is just fabulous, it's been my most worn MAC red throughout 2015 and continues to be, I love it, unfortunately as it was limited edition there isn't an on line link for it but MAC do re promote products all the time so if you like the look of it I would keep an eye out, I have missed out on a limited edition lipstick twice now from MAC but it is being made permanent in March, theres often hope if you miss out on a MAC limited edition lipstick as I have missed out on many but then got them on a re promote.

MAC - Impassioned

I love Impassioned, it is a very bright coral toned pink and is beautiful throughout the spring and summer months, I wear it a lot and every time I do someone asks me what lipstick I'm wearing, it has an incredible wear time, applies well, doesn't bleed and is a stunning shade and if you like bright pink lipstick I'd definitely check it out, it's stunning. You can buy it HERE for £15.50.

MAC - Brave

Brave was my most worn nude lipstick of 2015, it is a lovely pink toned nude which are my favourite nude shade to wear and the nude shades that suit me the most, Brave is a great shade and looks lovely with so many different make up looks, it's brilliant for both day and night and has an excellent wear time, it's comfortable to wear and feels nice on the lips, I love it, it was hard to find at one time because of the Kylie Jenner lip trend but it shouldn't be too hard to find now, if you like shades like faux and modesty from MAC you'll like Brave it's a lovely nude and one I'd definitely recommend trying if you're on the lookout for a nude lip. Brave is available to buy HERE for £15.50.

MAC - Betty Bright

Betty Bright was part of the Archie's Girls collection back in 2013 and launched in the UK just before my birthday, how lucky was that? I love Betty Bright it is a beautiful coral/peach and stunning for the spring and summer months, I wear it a lot during those months and again I am always asked what lipstick I'm wearing when I wear it, I don't have much left as you can probably tell from the photograph so I think I will be rationing it this year, Costa Chic by MAC is similar to Betty Bright, I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a dupe but it is similar and although Costa Chic is a frost finish it does have good wear time too so don't be put off it you do like the shade.

Swatches

Lip Pencils

I don't use lip pencils every time I do my make up but I wanted to mention the lip pencils I love and that have been my favourites throughout 2015. I don't have swatches of these as they are representative of the brand rather than the shade.

Going left to right on the image above, first up is the Rimmel Moisture Renew lip liner in transparent, my lovely friend Gemma told me about this lip liner and I'm so pleased she did, it is incredible and very versatile too, this has been on my "to blog about" list for the longest time and I haven't ever written the post, I think I need to! But it is a fabulous product that can be worn with any shade of lipstick and stops feathering and bleeding, I have a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick that I love but it bleeds like nothing on earth, if I wear this lip liner I don't have any bleeding at all and not even a slight feathering, it really is incredible, I will continue to re purchase it forever. You can buy the Rimmel transparent liner HERE for £3.99.

Next up is the Charlotte Tilbury lip cheat lip pencil in the shade Pillow Talk, I love this lip pencil, the shade is a beautiful pink toned nude and it looks amazing worn with my brave lipstick from MAC, I also love to wear it alone all over the lip and it isn't uncomfortable at all and although it is a favourite because I wore it quite a lot throughout 2015 I can't recommend it because the amount of times it needs sharpening is ridiculous and I have stopped wearing it because it is going to run out rapidly if not, to compare I have had Pillow Talk for 12 months and I have had the MAC lip pencil next to it for 3 years and that has been sharpened a lot more and yes the MAC pencils are longer anyway but you would think after 3 years and a lot more sharpening the MAC would be shorter. It's such a shame because I adore the lip pencil and did want to try more shades but I can't justify spending £16.00 on something that just isn't going to last, I was speaking to a sales assistant on another counter last year and she said exactly the same, it is a real shame but I cannot recommend you go out and buy a £16.00 lip liner that isn't going to last you, in my estimations 6 months if worn once a week, but it is in my favourites because I love the shade and the formula, it applies well, looks stunning and has wonderful wear time, it just doesn't last and needs to be sharpened after every use. If you don't mind sharpening after each use and would like to try Pillow Talk, you can buy it on line HERE for £16.00.

Last but by no means least is the MAC lip pencil in the shade cherry, this is a representation of MAC lip pencils in general and not the shade, although I do love the shade it is perfect for under a red lip. I have quite a few MAC lip pencils and adore them all, they last forever, as I said I have had this one for at least 3 years and love it, I always wear my lip pencils all over the lip (apart from the Rimmel) so I get a lot of use from them, they apply well and I don't find them dragging or drying, they have excellent wear time and increase the wear time of your chosen lipstick and I just love them and cannot recommend them enough, they aren't the cheapest lip liners out there but they are incredible and I have yet to find another lip pencil as good. If you would like to try a MAC lip pencil, you can buy them HERE for £12.50.

You might have noticed in the photograph a MAC Lipmix, this is just a representative of all the lip mixes and therefore I haven't swatched it or any of the ones I have but I do have a full blog post including swatches on the MAC lip mixes here if you would like to read it, but I love the lip mixes and didn't want to include all 4 of mine and talk about another 4 products in an already very long post, but I do strongly recommend them, they are an incredible product and one I will re purchase and buy more shades in too. If you would like to buy any of the MAC lip mixes, you can find them HERE for £14.50.

So they are all my favourite lip products for 2015 and my word there were a lot, it was so so hard to choose my favourites for you, I hope you liked my choices, please let me know if you share any of the same favourites as me or if there are any of the products I've shared today that you would like to try.

Thank you for reading my huge post, much love as always

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

Hello Lovelies

I have wanted to try a Beauty Blender (£16.00) for such a long time and have been considering purchasing one for what seems like years but haven't ever done so because with so many cheaper alternatives on the market I wondered if it would be worth the extra money. I was so excited when I opened my Christmas gifts and received the Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit (£32.50) in my stocking. I was so pleased when I opened the gift as I had wanted to try a Beauty Blender for such a long time and I couldn't wait to try it. The Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit contains the original Beauty Blender as well as some other products too.

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

The Beauty Blender Classic

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

The first time I used the Beauty Blender I was absolutely blown away, it is incredible and I wish i had bought one years ago, my foundation looked absolutely flawless and I was thrilled with the way it looked. I use the rounded edge to apply my foundation to most of my face and the pointed end to get into the corners of my nose and around my eyes, the BB feels lovely and soft and it applies my foundation flawlessly, I wish I'd bought one years ago. If like me you have been contemplating buying the Beauty Blender I would say to bite the bullet and just buy it, it's incredible and you won't regret it. In the photograph above the BB is dry, it does swell to around twice the size once it is wet, it washes and dries well and I absolutely love it and will definitely purchase another one so I have a clean one at all times as I can't not use one now I know how amazing it is.

The Beauty Blender Micro Mini

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

How cute is that? I love miniature things so I loved this before I'd used it because it's so small and cute! But when I used it I loved it even more, I applied my Bobbi Brown corrector and then my concealer with it,  it is amazing and applies the products beautifully and my corrector and concealer looked flawless. I am definitely going to buy another one of these I adore it, I use the round edge to apply the products and then the pointed end is great for getting into the corner of the eye with the products it's really good. It washes and dries well and I love it and would highly recommend it.

The Beauty Blender Pro

Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit

The Beauty Blender Pro is for use with darker toned products such as false tan and bronzer, I used mine with my bronzer and contour and again I love it, it applies the products flawlessly and they look lovely, I would usually use a make up brush for false tan but I can imagine that this will be amazing for tanning but I have yet to try it to apply false tan. Again the Beauty Blender Pro washes and dries well and expands when wet, it's another fabulous BB and I love it!

The Mini Rea-Active

This is a great product to use to both dampen your beauty blender or to rea-activate your make up so if you're out and about and your base or concealer needs some re touching you could spray your Beauty Blender with the spray and re fresh your make up. So far I have only used the spray to dampen my beauty blenders but it works well and is a great product, it would be brilliant for travelling as it's not a huge bottle, it's a great little product.

I absolutely love the Make Up's Best Friend Kit it's a fantastic kit and a great price too, the Beauty Blender and Beauty Blender Pro both retail at £16.00 and the kit is £32.50 so you are getting the Beauty Blender Micro Mini and the Rea-Active free when buying the set so it's a great buy too, and one I would highly recommend.

If you have been thinking about buying a Beauty Blender but haven't I would highly recommend it, I absolutely love it and will definitely be purchasing another one and also another one or two of the Micro Mini Beauty Blenders they are fantastic too. If you would like to try the Beauty Blender Make Up's Best Friend Kit you can find it on the Beauty Blender website for £32.50 or from the Cult Beauty website for £32.50.

Have you tried the Beauty Blender? Do you love it as much as I do?

Thank you for reading, much love as always

MAC Flamingo Park Collection Spring 2016

MAC Flamingo Park Collection Spring 2016

Hello Lovelies

I'm sure you know by now I am a real MAC girl at heart, I have been wearing MAC makeup since buying my first lip glass 20 years ago (eek that makes me feel old) MAC release a new collection on the first Thursday of the month here in the UK and although I don't get excited about every new collection, now and again one really catches my eye and the MAC Flamingo Park collection has certainly done that!

The MAC Flaming Park collection comprises of a X 9 eyeshadow palette, 3 pigments, 2 nail polishes, 9 lipsticks, 3 lip pencils, 5 lip glosses, 7 blushes and 2 beauty powders and oh me oh my there are some stunning products within that almighty collection.

The products in the collection are

X 9 Eyeshadow Palette - Limited Edition

An eyeshadow palette containing 9 shadows, these palettes are the same size as a MAC quad to give you an idea of size, the eye shadows within the palette are -

Birds Eye View - (satin) Hot magenta
Flock & Roll - (matte) Pastel pink
Sushi Flower - (satin) Pink/coral shimmer
Elegant Friend  - (veluxe pearl ) Dirty lavender
Weirdly Wonderful - (veluxe) Royal blue with a light blue pearl
Naturally Fabulous - (matte) Warm mid tone brown
Flounce (matte) - Chalky white/pink
Glamour Light - (satin) Lemon
Floridazzle - (satin) Soft Lime

Now this eye shadow palette is not for the faint hearted and is very bright indeed, but if you like bright colours and something a little different then you will love it, but I'm afraid it isn't on my wish list.

Pigment

Rose - Rose with a copper sparkle
Golden Olive - High frost green/gold
Tan - muted pink/brown bronze

The pigments are all part of the permanent range so if these are all you're after there isn't so much of a rush, personally I won't be purchasing any of the pigments, I have a few MAC pigments but they're not something I really ever use, all 3 are stunning just not for me.

Nail Polish - Limited Edition

Miami - Warm Pink/coral
Spoonful Of Sugar - Pink glitter with pink pearl

Both these polishes look amazing and I love the look of both but I'm not sure I'll pick any up, do you like MAC polishes?

Lipstick

Flocking Fabulous - (cremesheen & pearl) Bright Coral/red (LE)
Please Me - (matte) Rose toned pink (Permanent)
Nice To Meet You - (cremesheen) Deep pink/red (LE)
Be Silly - (matte) Fuchsia pink (LE)
Long Legged & Fabulous - (cremesheen & pearl) Baby pink (LE)
Silly - (matte) Bright white pink (Permanent)
Saint Germain - (amplified) Clean pastel pink (Permanent)
Have Your Cake - (matte) Bright magenta (LE)
The Fashion Flock - (matte) Bright pink/coral (on line exclusive only)

As you had probably guessed the lipsticks are one of my favourite things out of the collection, some are permanent and some limited edition (LE), I am pleased to see Silly listed as permanent as I have missed out on it in 2 other collections so far so fingers crossed it is going to be added to their permanent line. I have seen swatches and I love The Fashion Flock which is an on line exclusive so I would say if you really want this one, be quick as some MAC collections sell out in seconds! I am in love with almost all of the lipsticks and there really is only a couple that aren't for me, they are stunning, if like me you love to wear pinks and corals in the spring and summer you will not be disappointed.

Lip Pencil

Chic Trick - Amped up fuchsia (LE)
Embrace Me - Vivid fuchsia pink (Permanent)
In Synch - Yellow toned pink (Permanent)

I love MAC lip pencils they are amazing and I would love some more, I have In Synch and although MAC describe it as a yellow toned pink I wouldn't, it's more of a peach shade in my opinion, I suppose yellow and pink mixed could be peach though so maybe they're right.

Cremesheen Glass

Such Sweeties - Baby Pink (LE)
Look Who's Here - Soft pink with blue pearl (LE)
Sweet Tooth - Warm mid toned pink (LE)
Petite Indulgence - Bright blue toned pink (Permanent)
Playful Petal - Electric Magenta (LE)

I don't care for lip gloss so these won't be on my wish list but if you do they are stunning, there's only 1 permanent shade with the rest being limited edition, they are lovely shades but lip gloss just isn't my thing.

Blush

Life's A Picnic - (satin) Hot red/pink (LE)
Pink Swoon - (satin) Soft yellow toned baby pink (Permanent)
Let's Be Friends - (satin) Hot blue toned pink (LE)
What I Fancy - (satin) Soft bright Apricot (LE)
This Could Be Fun - (satin) Soft violet/purple (LE)
Spring Flock - Light bright coral (LE)
Oh My! - (satin) Mid tone coral/red (LE) (on line exclusive only)

You guessed it, the blushes are my other favourite products in the collection, lipsticks and blush I adore and I am always drawn to them before any other product in a MAC collection, all but 1 are limited edition so if you're like me and love blush I would say pick up the shades you want. I am asked all the time about my royal sunset MAC blush which was also part of a collection and was limited edition and sold out rapidly, I am hoping though for those who missed out on royal sunset that one of these is a close enough match and it certainly looks from first glance that Spring Flock could be close but I'll know for sure when I've seen it.

Beauty Powder

Pearl Blossom - Light pink with silver pearlised pigment (LE)
Sunny Surprise - Soft peach (LE)

I have never bought a MAC beauty powder but these both look stunning so maybe this collection could bring with it my first beauty powder purchase, have you ever tried one?

I am super excited about the Flamingo Park collection and cannot wait for the launch, the US launch date is January 28th 2016 on line and in stores February 4th 2016 and the UK launch date is March 3rd 2016 in stores but may launch a little earlier on line so if you want those on line exclusives I would advise keeping an eye out from the end of February 2016.

Are you excited for this collection? Which products do you like the sound of? I'd love you to tell me in the comments.

Thank you for reading, much love as always
