My Christmas Wish List 2015

Hello Lovelies, 

It's that time of year again where bloggers share their Christmas Wish Lists on their blog, I have been asked a lot recently if I was going to share mine and today's the day, I am going to share with you my Christmas Wish List of 2015, to be absolutely honest the last couple of months have been the worst of my entire life so what I would like more than anything this Christmas is for next year to be a good year and for all the horrible things that have happened recently to be ok and for us to be able to breathe and relax again but since I can't show you that or give you a link to where you could get it too, and how I wish I could, I am sharing with you some things I've seen online and thought "oh I like that" I will include links in case you see something you like too or something for a loved one, friend or partner you're buying for this year.

So those are all the things on my Christmas Wish List for 2015 and I will give you a brief overview of why I chose what I did, I love anything heart shaped so the keyring and the Next loungewear with the heart print leggings are perfect and bears play a huge part in our family so there are a few bear related items in there too, I love the bear slanket from Tesco it looks so snuggly and I am often cold so it would be lovely to snuggle in that and I suppose I wouldn't be me if there weren't some nail polishes and lip products in there too, the Nars set looks amazing and the lip pencils are incredible. I have been interested in the Lip Erase from MAC for a while as I suffer with very blue lips and the lip erase cancels out the natural colour of the lip meaning if I wore a lipstick it might actually come off the shade I hoped for a change! The beauty blender is something I've had my eye on for a while and loved this cute set of 2 beauty blenders plus accessories, the ABH Dipbrow Pomade is again something I've been looking at for a while but never bought, and the MAC 109 brush has been on my brush wish list for many years now, it looks perfect for applying blush. So there are a few things I've been looking at but never purchased for a while and some heart and bear related things which are personal to me and the snood I just think looks super cozy and snuggly and I think would look lovely with my leather jacket.

Two Bloggers - One Dress #GeorgeTakeTen

A few weeks ago I got a Twitter notification and had been mentioned in a tweet by my lovely friend Shona. Shona had replied to a tweet regarding blogging friends and kindly mentioned me, I have been chatting to Shona for a few years now, she's lovely and we get on really well. It was lovely of her to mention me when being asked about blogging friends and she said some lovely things about me. The day after the tweet we both received an email informing us that the Tweet was actually a blogging campaign for George at Asda called GeorgeTakeTen, we were given a budget and within that budget we had to choose the same dress and style it in our own way.

The dress we chose was the Lace Insert Dress - £12.00. A dark grey skater style dress in a thick jersey type fabric with a lace panel at the top of the back of the dress and lace shoulder inserts on the front of the dress. Once myself and Shona had picked our dress we then chose our accessories and other items to style the dress.

Here's How I Styled The Dress

I chose to style the dress with a Faux Leather And Suede Jacket and also some Black Ruched Calf Boots and finished the look off with a Fringed Cross Body Bag in Black and some Black opaque tights. 

Lace Insert Dress - £12.00

The dress is made from a thick jersey material and came to just below my knee, for reference I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, the dress was a pull on dress so no buttons or zips to fasten just pull it over your head and go, it is a really comfortable dress and very warm to wear too, the material is thick so it's ideal for this time of year. 

The dress has a lace panel detail across the back of the dress at the top and lace detailing on the shoulders also, I feel it gives the dress a lovely finish and adds something extra. The dress has short sleeves with a turn up detail. 

Faux Leather & Suede Jacket - £35.00 

The jacket I chose is a biker style jacket made from faux leather and suede and I really like it, it feels very comfortable to wear although it isn't a jacket you wear to keep warm it is thin but would be ideal for doing some shopping if you're only nipping from the car to a indoor shopping centre or supermarket, it would also be lovely worn to lunch or an evening out. 

As you can see from the photographs above the jacket has panels of both faux leather and faux suede and has silver zips on the back of the sleeves, zipped side pockets and a silver zip to fasten. There is also some stitching detail on the sleeves too which I really liked. I am really happy with the jacket and think for the price it is lovely. I couldn't really see a great deal of detail on the website so I was pleasantly surprised when the jacket arrived. 

Black Ruched Calf Boots - £18.00

The boots I chose are also a faux suede material and are a flat boot, they are very comfortable to wear and look lovely with the dress but also look nice with leggings or skinny jeans too, they are very versatile and go with a lot of items in my wardrobe, I think they are a great price too. I sized up half a size after reading reviews on the Asda Direct website and the boots fitted perfectly and are also fine when worn with thicker socks. 

Fringed Cross Body Bag - £12.00

I really like the fringed bag, it is a great size for either going shopping or going out for lunch or an evening out and it held my purse, phone, keys, lipstick and mirror very well and there was still room in the bag should I have needed to add anything else. The bag has an adjustable strap and can be worn across the body or on the shoulder or you could adjust it to the smallest setting and carry it in your hand, inside the bag is a zip compartment. It's a great little bag for the price and very on trend with the fringing detail too. 

I really enjoyed taking part in this post with the lovely Shona and I can't wait for you to see how she styled the dress too, it was a lot of fun choosing the dress and floating ideas back and forth to each other, I am quite a lot older than Shona and a completely different shape too and a lot shorter so I thought it would be hard to find something we both liked but we settled on the dress quite quickly. Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara

Hello Lovelies,

Today I want to share my thoughts on a mascara I've been trialling recently, the mascara is the Rimmel Wake Me Up mascara which was launched in August this year.

The first thing I noticed when using the mascara is the scent of it, it smells really nice. Mascara's don't usually have a scent to them but the Wake Me Up does smell lovely and has a very fresh scent to it, the wand is an hour glass shaped wand very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

As I said the mascara smells amazing, it has a very "wet" formula and applied well but it didn't do anything at all for my lashes, it coated them and they looked very black but they didn't look any fuller or longer I'm afraid, I have read other reviews of this mascara and it seems to be a bit of a Marmite mascara in that people either seem to love it or hate it and it seems to perform really well or not well at all and in my case unfortunately it didn't perform well at all, I just didn't notice any kind of vast improvement and maybe it's down to the shape of the wand as I know people who have the same opinion of the Too Faced mascara they either love it or hate it and I have tried that one and it didn't do anything for my lashes either.

If you like the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara there is a good chance you'll like the Rimmel Wake Me Up mascara so it is worth a try if you like the Too Faced I would say and a lot cheaper too.
