NOTD Rimmell Rita Ora Sweet Retreat

NOTD Rimmell Rita Ora Sweet Retreat

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have another NOTD post, my nail of the day posts feature not only the polish I'm wearing  but also a review of that polish, I think it's important to let you know my thoughts on the polish as well as showing you the shade and how it looks on the nails.

Todays NOTD is the Rimmel London Rita Ora polish in Sweet Retreat, it's a lovely pink shade and one I would describe as a 'Barbie pink' it isn't pastel but it isn't bright either, the colour looks lovely on fingers and toes and is a beautiful shade for the summer.

Although I love the shade of this polish, I don't like the polish itself, I found the polish quite hard to apply as it was streaky and quite hard to work with, I adore the Rimmel 60 second super shine polishes and thought that this would apply in the same way and have a similar finish but it is completely different. I used 3 coats of polish to achieve the look in my photographs and the topcoat I used is my HG topcoat, the Orly Glosser topcoat. I got 4-5 days wear time from the polish which is good, I do put some of that down to the topcoat though, it is amazing and really does help with the wear time of any polish I use, although I didn't like the polish I did like the brush, it is a nice wide brush and had the polish been easier to apply the brush would have made application a breeze but as I said it was very streaky and patchy and didn't apply well at all.

I do love the shade and it looks lovely, especially for the summer but if you want a polish that's easy to apply this really isn't it, I would recommend trying the Rimmel 60 second polishes instead which are available here.

If you would like to try Sweet Retreat you can find it online at Boots and Superdrug for £2.99.

Thank you for reading, much love as always,

Zoe x
