DHC Sube Sube Travel Set

DHC Sube Sube Travel Set

DHC are a Japanese beauty brand that is talked about a lot in the beauty blogging world. I first tried their products last year and since then I have been very lucky to be able to try a few more of their products and I have really liked the things I have tried so far, especially their Astaxanthin Collagen All In One Gel

When the DHC Sube Sube Travel Set arrived through my door, I was super excited and couldn't wait to try the products inside, especially the Deep Cleansing Oil as I have heard so many
great things about it.

In Japanese, sube sube means 'smooth and silky', and with this all-in-one, travel-friendly set that's the exact look and feel you can treat your skin to. This selection of self-love essentials brings together some of the finest cleansing products by DHC, Japan's leading skincare brand. This fragrance-free set makes for a perfect step into the wonderful range of products by DHC.

Whats In The Set?

  • 1x Deep Cleansing Oil (30ml)
  • 1x Mild Soap (10g)
  • 1x Mild Lotion (30ml)
  • 1x Olive Virgin Oil (5ml)

The set contains everything needed for a skincare routine should you be travelling, I would usually add other items into my daily skincare routine but when I go away I do condense my skincare and don't use as many products, so the travel set was perfect and the perfect size too. We visited friends for the weekend in August and I took the set with me to use as my skincare and then I continued to use it when I got home so I could try the products out for a longer time period.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (30ml) - £4.50

Dissolves make-up thoroughly with zero residue. Nutritive oil formula emulsifies into a cleansing milk for truly make-up free skin. Olive and rosemary leaf oils leave skin feeling soothed, refreshed, and balanced.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

I have to start by saying that the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is just as good as everyone says it is, it is amazing!! I use the cleansing oil to remove my makeup, I apply a small amount of the oil and rub it into my skin and across my eyes to remove eye makeup, then I take a face cloth (flannel) which I have run under hand hot water and wrung out and I wipe away the oil, all my makeup comes away so easily, even waterproof mascara, it is incredible and leaves my skin feeling clean, silky soft and smooth.

DHC Mild Soap (10g) - £2.00

Gently cleanses away impurities without stripping skin. Hydrates and protects skin’s natural moisture with olive oil and honey.

DHC Mild Soap

I will admit, I was a little worried about using the mild soap, my skin is extremely dry and dehydrated and soap usually dries my skin out even more. I used the mild soap in a morning or evening when I wasn't wearing makeup as my cleansing step of my skincare routine.

I took the soap from the packaging and ran it under hand hot water, then created a lather in my palms and applied to my face and neck, using a face cloth in the same way as with the cleansing oil to remove it. My face didn't feel tight or dry afterwards and was in fact left feeling lovely and clean and very soft and smooth, I was very pleasantly surprised at how lovely my skin felt and the soap is an excellent cleanser too, it is a lovely product and something I wouldn't have ever picked up but am so glad I have tried.

DHC Mild Lotion (30ml) - £4.95

Refreshes and calms with cucumber juice extract. Humectant-rich glycerin protects skin’s natural barrier, and prepares skin for more intensive moisture care.

DHC Mild Lotion

The DHC Mild Lotion is an alcohol free toner which I used either after the cleansing oil or the mild soap, as I do with all toners, I applied it to a cotton pad and swept across my face morning and evening, you can if you prefer, apply the toner to the palms of your hands and then directly to your face. The toner leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated and ready for the next step in my skin care routing and is a really lovely product.

DHC Olive Virgin Oil (5ml)  - £4.95

Gives skin a healthy glow with the oil of handpicked, organic olives. Lightweight facial oil absorbs easily and supports skin’s natural moisture barrier without irritating or clogging pores.

DHC Olive Virgin Oil

I used the oil as the last step in my skincare routine and applied a small amount to my hands to warm the oil up and then pressed onto my face as directed, the oil is absolutely lovely and my skin felt so lovely after using it, it was hydrated, soft and smooth with no dry patches at all. The oil can also be used on the cuticles or any other dry areas of the body such as knees or elbows, so it's a great product to travel with. I have such dry skin that I worried the oil wouldn't be enough to use alone without any serums or moisturiser, but it was absolutely fine and my skin looked and felt wonderful after using it.

Overall Thoughts

DHC Sube Sube Travel Set

I love the DHC Sube Sube Travel Set - £13.50 and highly recommend it to anyone, whether you are going travelling or if you want to try some DHC products, it's a great little set and perfect for trying out the products or if you're going away. The products were the perfect size, I didn't think they would last as long as they did to be honest, especially the olive virgin oil as it is only a small bottle, but the amount needed is so little that it does last well and is enough for a holiday or long enough to try out and see if the products work for you.

All the products worked really well for my skin and all are suitable for all skin types so are ideal for anyone to try, my favourite product from the set is probably the cleansing oil, I am not surprised it is DHC's best selling cleansing product, it is by far the best cleansing oil I have ever used. My eldest daughter also tried it, she is a makeup artist and wears a full face of makeup, more than I do and it removed all her makeup with ease and she was extremely impressed with it, so impressed that the day she tried it, she ordered some!

All the products are really lovely, they all feel nice to use, are gentle on the skin and leave my skin feeling and looking lovely. I have eczema and sensitive skin but I didn't have any problems at all with any of the products.

I loved using the set and will definitely pick another one up for when I'm going to be doing any travelling, and I will definitely be picking up full sizes of all the products too. I was so pleasantly surprised at how nice the mild soap was on my skin and it didn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry at all like a facial soap usually would and the toner and the olive oil are both beautiful products, I can see why DHC is such a sought after brand, so far, I have yet to try a product that I haven't liked and can highly recommend everything I have tried.

If you would like to try the Sube Sube Travel Set, you can find it here, priced at £13.50 or if you would like to try any of the products individually, you can find the Cleansing Oil here, priced at £4.50, the Mild Soap here, priced at £2.00, the Mild Lotion here, priced at £4.95 and the Olive Virgin Oil here, priced at £4.95

Have you tried the DHC Sube Sube Travel Set? Or any DHC products? And if so which is your favourite DHC product?
