The L'Oreal Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Mega Palette And Swatches

The L'Oreal Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Mega Palette And Swatches

I have to admit, and this isn't very beauty bloggery (is that even a word?) of me to say, but I have recently been quite underwhelmed by the new eyeshadow palette releases from various brands, but when I had the opportunity to try out the NEW L'Oreal Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Mega Palette - £14.99 as soon as I saw it, I couldn't wait to give it a try.

The Cherry My Cheri palette was also released along side the L'Oreal Berry Much Love palette, a pink/purple toned palette which is also stunning.

The L'Oreal Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Mega Palette And Swatches

Introducing new L’Oréal Paris Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Palette, the must-have eyeshadow palette with the hottest cherry-hued shades. 16 cherry-picked shades from rich burgundies, to warm peaches, to everyday neutrals. Everything you need to create fresh, ‘just woke up like this’ looks, to deep, smoky evening looks.

Each eyeshadow shade is boosted with bold colour pigments, for intense colour payoff. The eyeshadow palette is made up of super-soft, ultra-creamy powder eyeshadows with a velvety texture that blends like a dream. Infused with a delicious, fruity fragrance for an eyeshadow that smells as good as it looks!

The palette is made up of 16 warm toned shades, 4 shimmer, 8 matte and 4 satin shades, all of which are stunning, I have used the palette several times over the last few weeks and I really like it. All 16 shades have a fantastic colour payoff, apply effortlessly and blend beautifully and have a brilliant wear time, the longest I have worn the shadows is 9 hours and my eye makeup looked just as nice as when I applied it.

I can honestly say, there isn't a shade in the palette that I don't like, that is unusual for me as there would usually be at least one or two shades in a palette containing 16 shades that I didn't like or use.

I have tried out different looks and used all 16 shades at least once so I could share with you how every shade is and not just a few.

Now I'm no professional and I have extremely hooded eyes and am what you might say, mature, so these aren't the best photographs and I had been rained on with my hair up so have a scarecrow vibe going on, but hopefully these photographs show how good the longevity of these shadows is, these were taken over 9 hours after application.

I'd used the shade Over The Taupe in my crease and just above it, plus under my lower lash line, I then blended some Plum Pow in the outer corner just above my natural crease and slightly under the lash line in the outer corner. I finished with some Virgin on the lid and into the inner corner slightly and then used a brush to blend the edges. I think for over 9 hours wear time, the makeup is still looking good and hopefully gives you some idea of how good the shadows in this palette are.

Overall Thoughts

I think it's quite safe to say, I really do like this palette, it ticks all my boxes in terms of shades and having a good mix of textures too, all the shades are stunning and I haven't experienced any fallout which is brilliant, the shadows aren't chalky or powdery, and they apply and blend beautifully.

The palette is 17g, making each shade 1g and I think £14.99 is a brilliant price for such a good palette, especially since I have tried other much more expensive palettes recently that just weren't as good in terms of colour pay off and longevity at all. I think this is an excellent palette, 16 beautiful shades for £14.99, all stunning, wearable shades. I think this is the perfect warm toned palette and one I know I am going to get a lot of use from, this is firmly in my everyday makeup bag and isn't moving any time soon, I love it.

It's a definite 10 out of 10 for me!

If you would like to try the L'Oreal Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Mega Palette, you can find it online and in store at Superdrug where L'Oreal currently have a 3 for 2 promotion, making it a great time to try this palette, I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed.

Have you tried the Cherry My Cheri palette? Which is your favourite shade out of the 16 I have swatched for you?

Some new products from Brushworks

Some new products from Brushworks

I have tried numerous products from Brushworks and so far I have liked all the products I have tried, so when I received two of their latest launches to try, one of the Brushworks HD Multi-Tasking  brushes £7.50 and the Brushworks Pink Clay Konjac Sponge £6.30 I was eager to give them both a go.

Brushworks Pink Clay Konjac Sponge - £6.30

Brushworks Konjac Sponge Pink Clay

Brushworks Konjac Sponge Pink Clay

Out of the two products, I have to admit, I was most intrigued by the Pink Clay Konjac Sponge £6.30 I had never heard of a Konjac Sponge so I was really interested to both find out more about it, and of course to use it.

The Clay Pink Konjac Sponge £6.30 comes in a plastic packaging which shows the sponge through a window on the front of the packaging, there is some information on the front of the packaging and then much more information, including usage instructions on the back.

Brushworks Konjac Sponge Pink Clay

The Brushworks Pink Clay Konjac Sponge is made from vegetable fibre of the konnyaku plant, which makes the sponge gentle and 100% biodegradable. The Konjac sponge acts as a gentle exfoliator, removing dead skin cells in the most delicate manner.  The sponge is suited for all skin types but is ideal for sensitive skin, the sponge is a mix of red and white clay and is recommended for tired, sensitive and dehydrated skin and is perfect for skin that is exposed to the sun, helping the skin maintain it's elasticity.

The first time I used the sponge, I used it in the evening, I wasn't wearing makeup, although you can use the sponge to remove makeup. I wet the sponge under the hot tap and squoze the excess water out and then used the sponge in circular motions, I have very dry and dehydrated skin and after using the sponge and then patting my face dry, it felt very soft and any traces of dry patches had been removed.

Pink Konjac Sponge From Brushworks

You can if you wish use the sponge with your cleansing product, I have also tried the sponge using a cream and gel cleanser and it worked well with both, I think the sponge would be ideal for travel, if like me you like to use a balm cleanser or gel cleanser and take 127946299 face cloths away with you.

Brushworks HD Multitasking Brush - £6.40

Brushworks Multitasking Brush

I have yet to dislike a Brushworks product, and the HD Multitasking Brush is no exception, the purple and black handle and bristles look lovely and it's a great brush. It comes in a clear plastic box with all the information you need on the packaging, then on the handle is the Brushworks logo and "HD"

Brushworks Multitasking Brush

The brush head is a good size and black at the base with purple tipped bristles. The brush has a domed and flattened head and is densley packed, and is perfect for finishing your makeup look and applying products.

Brushworks Multitasking Brush

I love to use the brush for applying my tinted moisturiser and buffing it out to a seamless finish, I also use it to apply cream and powder blush and highlight, it is a great allround makeup brush.

The brush has a nice slender handle and feels nice to hold, it isn't too long or short which may sound silly, but some brushes have the most ridiculous length of handle! I really like the brush, it washes really well too and hasn't shed at all despite using and washing it numerous times.

All Brushworks makeup brushes are cruelty free and Vegan friendly too.

Overall Thoughts

At the beginning of my post, I said I have so far liked all the Brushworks products I have tried and the Konjac Sponge and Multitasking Brush are no exception, both work really well and do exactly what it says on the tin. I am really happy with both items and they are both very affordable too, with them both being less than £7.00 each, which is brilliant.

You can find the Multitasking Brush here for £6.40 and the Konjac Sponge here for £6.30, if you'd like to give them a try.

Have you tried any products from Brushworks? Or the Konjac Sponge? And if so what is your favourite Brushworks makeup brush.

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Ice White Shampoo

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Ice White Shampoo

I have used Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes shampoo for a couple of years now and more recently I have used the Tone Correcting Conditioning Spray too, they are great products. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you'll know I love Lee Stafford hair products and tools, they never disappoint and always give me great results. So when I received the new Lee Stafford Ice Whites shampoo £6.99, I couldn't wait to give a try and see if I liked it as much as the OG bleach blondes shampoo.

As you may know, my daughters often try out products for me too, my eldest who is naturally brunette, has her hair bleached and at the moment she is blonde with a stretched root. Her hair does get very warm toned, or brassy so I thought she would be the perfect guinea pig to try the shampoo too, and so she has also been trying it out. This way you get both the opinion of myself who has tinted naturally blonde hair and my daughter who has her hair bleached.

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Ice White Shampoo

My hair is naturally blonde, but it isn't quite as blonde as it looks naturally,  I do have it tinted an ash blonde shade. My hair is naturally a darker toned blonde than I have it and it is also going grey, but since I'm not about to grow old gracefully anytime soon, I have it tinted. Sometimes I have some highlights through the top but only a few and I haven't had those for around 12 months, but I never ever have my hair bleached, because it is naturally blonde, I don't need it bleached, just tinted.

Even though I don't have my hair bleached, it sometimes can look a little warm toned, especially at the back, (my sister is my hair dresser and has told me the reason for this but I can't for the life of me remember) and because of this, I have used a violet toned or silver shampoo for years and have tried most brands out there, as I said I have used the Lee Stafford original bleach blondes shampoo for the last couple of years and have really enjoyed using it, but I was intrigued as to whether the Ice Whites would be any better.

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Ice White Shampoo

Refresh and restore your Blonde with my BLEAch BLondes Ice WHiTE SHaMPOO!
Blonde hair is notorious for colour shifting… over-washing and sun exposure can leave a warm hue to even the ashiest of blondes. Stop brassy tones in their tracks and hit refresh with this powerful Silver Shampoo!
Formulated with true blue pigments, this indigo toning Shampoo helps knock out brassy tones, leaving an icy cool, arctic tone. For a lighter, brighter Platinum Blonde!

• Tones Blonde Hair

• Refreshes and Restores
• Enhances Silver Tones
• Moisturises
• UV Protection
• Iconic Pink Fragrance

The Lee Stafford Ice Whites shampoo, has a pleasant scent, it is said to be the Pink fragrance but I do think it smells very similar to the original shampoo and as with the OG shampoo, the colour of the Ice Whites shampoo is purple, but I'd say the Ice Whites is much more blue/purple than the deep purple of the Bleach Blondes shampoo. The shampoo lathers up well and rinses out easily too and my hair is left feeling lovely and clean, once dried my hair looks lovely, shiny and healthy.

The Ice Whites shampoo keeps my hair the nice ash toned blonde and knocks out any warm tones that I may have at the back or when my hair is due to be tinted. My daughter has also been using the Ice Whites shampoo and as I said, her hair is bleached. She has found the shampoo to be really effective at knocking out the warm, brassy tones in her hair, we have both been really happy with it.

I have very oily hair and find I can miss a day between washing when using the Ice Whites shampoo, and then if I use dry shampoo, I can leave it another day without washing, something I thought worth sharing in case like me, you have oily hair too. My daughter however does use a conditioner as her hair is dry due to bleaching, so if your hair is bleached, you may want to use conditioner too.

Round Up

Overall, the Lee Stafford Ice Whites shampoo, is a great addition to the Bleach Blondes range and is great for blonde hair whether it is tinted or bleached and especially if you have a platinum or ash toned blonde and want to keep it looking fresh and not warm or brassy toned. The shampoo is a reasonable price too and is currently on offer at Boots where Lee Stafford products are currently on offer for 3 for £15.00, so a good time to try it.

Have you tried the Ice Whites shampoo? Do you use a violet/silver shampoo for your blonde hair? Chat with me in the comments and let me know.

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

As you are probably aware if you are a regular reader of my blog, my skin is the bane of my life. I have extremely dry skin, and although it isn't quite as bad in the summer, it is still incredibly dry. I like to try different skincare products and over the last few months I have tried out some lovely products from L'Oreal, so when I had the chance to try the L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads - £14.99 (was £22.49), I was over the moon.

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

"Inspired by professional treatments, Revitalift Laser Renew Anti-Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads are enriched with glycolic acid to help remove dead skin cells and boost your daily anti-ageing routine. Intensive re-surfacing action means wrinkles are reduced and skin tone is more unified".

Having dry skin, I have used glycolic acid products in my skincare routine for many years and I find it works really well for me, so I couldn't wait to see how the L'Oreal pads worked for me too.

There are 30 pre soaked pads in the tub, one side is textured for a stronger exfoliation and one side smoother for a gentler exfoliation, the pads are a really good size and one pad is enough for my face and neck.

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

I have sensitive eczema prone skin and I don't have any irritation or redness when using the pads, I used them in an evening after cleansing and before serum and whatever night time treatment I may have been using. I use the textured side and wipe it all over my face and neck and then turn the pad over and do the same.

Textured Side

Smoother Side

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

The pads are a nice thickness, not too thick or thin and not flimsy at all and none of the pads I have used have ripped whilst using them.

L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads

I used the pads exclusively as my acid toner for 30 days and my skin feels so lovely and soft and I don't have any dry patches at all, I have some faint lines on my forehead and they seem to be more faint too which is great. I find that having dry skin, my skin can appear dull and lack lustre but it looks so much brighter and more alive since using the pads and I have felt more confident without makeup and just applying some mascara and nothing else.

I really like the L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads and would definitely re purchase them, they didn't dry out at all and still felt the same when I opened them as they did 30 days later and my skin feels so much softer since using them, and I don't currently have any dry patches.

If you like to use an acid toner as part of your skincare routine or like me you have dry skin, I would recommend giving these a go, I have really enjoyed using them and they're another hit from L'Oreal skincare so I will definitely be looking at the other products in the Revitalift Laser Renew range.

The pads are currently on offer at Superdrug where they have a third off promotion and are £14.99  (were £22.99) so a great time to try them if you'd like to.

Have you tried the L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads? Or anything in the Revitalift Laser Renew range? Let me know your recommendations in the comments if you have.
