Happy New Year - New Year, New Blog Look

Happy New Year, well I say new, we're almost nearing the end of January now, but since this is my first blog post of 2022, it is only right to wish you a Happy New Year. 

More excitingly, this is also my first blog post since my blog has had a little makeover, do you like it?

I'd had the same blog look for such a long time and it really was tired, so I decided in December that I was going to have a little blog makeover. The pink theme is still around, but I wouldn't be me if it wasn't pink would I? But it's all a little more neat and tidy now, I'm thinking of a new header now so if you have any ideas, let me know. 

Apart from wishing you a Happy New Year and sharing my new blog look, I also wanted to pick your brains, I am going to be asking on my Instagram stories over the next few days, but thought I'd ask here too, what would you like to see from my blog in 2022? I'd love to know and I'm open to suggestions, if you'd rather wait for the Instagram stories, that's fine, but if not, pop a comment below and let me know your thoughts, please.

This is such a lovely gift set, I love that the bag is reusable which is always handy, I think it's great for using as a makeup bag, it fits a good amount in it and has separate compartments too, it's a great little bag. National Treasure Convertible Lip & Cheek Cream Quad #1- £28.00

Convertible Color, is a cult classic, and is now available as a quad. Two in one lipstick and blush loaded with creamy translucent colour. Four curated shades in a petal soft texture and dewy finish. Each palette features three iconic shades and a new, custom blended shade exclusive to this palette.

I love using a cream blush and the convertible lip and cheek products from Stila are lovely, I have tried a couple in the past and loved them and the quads are stunning, I have the #1 quad which contains the colours:

• Lilium

• Petunia

• Gerbera

• Patina

 

Petunia is one of my favourite cream blush shades so I was pleased to see it included in quad #1, the shades in quad #2 are brighter but equally as lovely. The convertible colour blend beautifully into the skin when used as blush and are a lovely lip colour too, and to have a quad is perfect, it means you have a choice of 4 gorgeous shades but without taking up lots of room in your makeup bag. I will be writing a separate post on the quad #1 coming soon which will include swatches of all 4 shades, so keep an eye out for that.

Overall Thoughts

I think all the products from this years Stila Christmas collection are stunning, they are all great value for money too and come in beautiful packaging, out of all the beauty brands Christmas collections, I think Stila have definitely come out on top with their packaging and prices too, I couldn't choose a favourite, I love all the items and will use every single thing, well apart from the liquid liner pen, my daughter has her eye on that!                                                                                                                           

Beautiful products, great value and ideal gifts if you have any last minute shopping to do, or if you want to treat yourself, and let's face it, we all deserve a treat now and then don't we?

I was absolutely blown away when I saw the contents of the skincare box, and when I read the enclosed card showing what products are inside the box, and how much each product retails at, I was seriously impressed. Beauty boxes I have had in the past have mostly (not all) included one full size product and then a couple of travel sized products, plus lots of samples that can only be used once. The All About You box is packed with full size products from great brands. 

The contents of the box add up to £415.43 so the price of £129.99 is fantastic, and there are products in the box that I have wanted to try for a while such as the Votary cleansing oil, Oskia serum and Weleda eye cream, so I was really pleased to see those inside the box, but all the products sound brilliant and I am looking forward to trying everything out. 

Usually I like to use everything I am sent to feature in my Christmas gift guides so I can let you know my thoughts, but with skincare it's a little harder as I like to use skincare products for a few weeks before I can let you know what I think and if the product performs well and gives the results it claims to. I can't try a skincare product for a couple of weeks and say if it's worked for me or not, so I am going to be writing separate reviews of the products included in the box as and when I have tried them for long enough, so if there is a product or products you would like to see a review of please keep an eye out on my blog. 

Overall Thoughts

I honestly cannot recommend this box enough, the value for money is excellent, and the products inside all look and sound amazing too. If you don't like the sound of everything in the box, but do like some of the products, you could maybe split the cost of the box with someone you know and share the products out between yourselves, then you can both try the products you want to at a more affordable price.

I love to use the body balm and then spray my pillow with the sleep mist before bed, I spray my duvet too to be honest, and the bedroom feels and smells really calming and relaxing, these products have really worked with helping me to relax and feel calm whilst in bed, to be honest, they aren't something I would have really looked at before, but now I have been using them, I will definitely repurchase them when I'm running low.

Overall Thoughts

I think it's safe to say, I love both these gift sets, I love that the boxes are reusable and so pretty, and the products are all beautiful and smell incredible, the slumber box has been amazing for me in terms of being able to relax more, unfortunately unless a cure for my medical conditions is found, I am never going to be able to fully relax and sleep, but I do feel calmer and more relaxed which is wonderful.
