Hello Lovelies
Today I have a nail of the day (NOTD) post for you and today's NOTD is one of the new polishes from the Essie Fall Collection 2016, Go Go Geisha. As soon as I saw the collection, I knew I would be purchasing Go Go Geisha, it is a lovely muted shade that I feel is perfect for autumn/winter.
I applied 1 coat of the Nails Inc After Gel Hangover Cure as my base coat (review of this coming soon) and then I applied 3 coats of Go Go Geisha, I often use 3 coats when using Essie polishes as I feel using 2 doesn't give me the opaque look I like. I finished off using the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat (review post here) I really like this top coat, it gives a fantastic shine and helps the polish last.
I really like the finished look and I receive so many compliments when I wear Go Go Geisha, so many people ask me what polish I am wearing, it is a lovely muted greige with a lilac/pink tone to it and I will be wearing it a lot throughout autumn/winter.
The brush on the polish is the nice wide brush that the newer Essie polishes have, I prefer this type of brush as it makes application a lot easier. The polish has an average drying time and I allowed each coat to dry fully in between coats to prevent bubbling, the top coat gives a fabulous shine to the nails. I got 6 days wear time out of the polish before chipping, to be fair I caught my nail on my coat zip so they would definitely have lasted longer, I have worn the polish twice since but both times removed it to use something else, both those times I had worn the polish for a week, Essie polishes do last well on my nails and I do think the gel couture top coat helps.
Overall I am really pleased with Go Go Geisha and I am really happy I picked it up and will definitely re purchase once it is running low.
If you would like to pick up Go Go Geisha, the best place I found was the Superdrug website priced at £7.99, Essie products are on a buy one get one half price offer but you can also buy it on the Boots website priced at £7.99.
Have you tried Go Go Geisha or any of the Essie Fall 2016 collection? What are your favourite autumn/winter nail colours/polishes, I love reading your recommendations, so be sure to let me know in the comments section below.
Thank you for reading, much love as always
