Christmas Gift Ideas With Joan Collins Beauty

I discovered Joan Collins beauty for the first time at the end of 2016 and since then have tried quite a few products and have been really impressed. Today I have some products I think will make ideal gifts this Christmas.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Compact Duo - Powder £16.00 - Lipstick £18.00

The Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Compact Duo is a two in one product containing a setting powder and lipstick, the lipstick in the duo I have is Suzy Starr a bright coral toned shade which is perfect for me as I love coral, but any of the Joan Collins Divine Lipsticks fit into the compact meaning you can tailor it to which ever shade of lipstick you are wearing. The duo is also available in a bronzer option if that is more suitable for you.

The art deco packing of the compact is stunning as is the packaging of the lipstick and this would make such a lovely gift for someone. The powder is lovely and despite me having very dry skin, it doesn't settle into any dry patches or fine lines. The lipstick is extremely nourishing and feels moisturising on the lips. It doesn't bleed or feather and looks lovely.

The powder and lipstick are purchased separately so you can choose the lipstick for the compact which I think is a really good idea.

I have two of the Divine Lips Lipsticks to share with you today and the first one is Fontaine, a hot pink cream shade, it is lovely and perfect for all year round, if you like a pop of colour this is perfect and like all the Divine lipsticks, Fontaine feels lovely and moisturising on the lips, these lipsticks are lovely, the packaging is stunning but the formula is lovely and despite being so nourishing they do last well on the lips.

Rosy

Rosy is less bright than Fontaine but is another lovely pink shade, neither shade look entirely like the shade on the side of the box but I love that they have the image on the box with the shade as I keep the boxes that my products come in so it's an easy way of knowing I've got the right shade without squinting at the bottom of the lipstick for the shade name. Rosy has the exact same formula as Fontaine and is a lovely shade, it is a pretty pink shade that looks lovely with any makeup look. The lipsticks are available in 16 shades and are all named after characters Joan has played on screen throughout her career.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Glorious Lip Gloss - £18.00

The Glorious Lip Gloss in the shade Piper is a lovely rosy pink shade with a slight lilac pearlescence. It is stunning, it has a doe foot applicator and applies with ease and isn't messy at all. It is opaque and could be worn alone or over a lipstick but it is opaque enough to wear alone. There are 6 shades available.

Christmas Gift Ideas With Joan Collins Beauty

The Joan Collins Timeless beauty products all have stunning packaging and make beautiful Christmas gifts, I always think there's something nice about having lovely packaging and these certainly have that, I haven't disliked anything I have tried yet from the range and as well as these products there are lots of other lovely items too, you can find the range online and in store at Marks & Spencer.

Have you tried any of these products or any of the Joan Collins products? Which out of these products would you most like to find under your Christmas tree? Let me know in the comments below.

Joan Collins Paperazzi Compact Duo

The Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Compact Duo is absolutely stunning, the packaging is luxurious starting with the box,  it feels sturdy with lovely gold writing and looks very classy, then inside the box is a fabulous compact, it is a beautiful gold compact with embossed detailing and is stunning, it looks very classy and absolutely beautiful.

The compact has a face powder on one side (6g) and a full size Divine lipstick housed within the packaging (3.5g) on the other side, the compact comes with a small rectangle applicator sponge to apply the powder which is lovely and has the black and gold detailing also.

The packaging is stunning but the products are brilliant too, the powder feels very silky, it applies beautifully, doesn't settle into any fine lines I have and doesn't look cakey on my dry skin. The lipstick I have is in the shade Crystal, a gorgeous red, I think red is perfect for Christmas but if red isn't your thing or the person you are buying for doesn't like red, there are 16 lipstick shades to choose from all named after characters Joan Collins has played during her career.

The packaging of the lipstick is also stunning, it reminds me of the Estee Lauder Signature lipsticks or the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, it is beautiful.

Joan Collins Paperazzi Compact Duo

Joan Collins Paperazzi Compact Duo

The lipstick feels extremely moisturising and applies like a dream, it is opaque in one swipe and doesn't bleed or feather. I get around 3-4 hours wear time from the lipstick without wearing a liner underneath but longer with a liner. I haven't felt a lipstick so moisturising in a long time, it feels lovely on the lips and has a balm like texture, it is a really nice lipstick and is very hydrating.

The Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Compact Duo is an absolutely stunning product, not only is the packaging amazing the products inside the compact are too. The powder is lovely and feels very silky on my skin, it lasts all day, doesn't settle into my fine lines and is perfect for setting my under eye concealer or touching up throughout the day as it is perfect to keep in my handbag. The lipstick is the most moisturising lipstick I have used and feels amazing on my lips, it has great wear time and fades away nicely without leaving a ring of colour around my lips or going patchy. It really is a lovely compact with fabulous products.

The Joan Collins Compact Duo would make a perfect Christmas gift for someone or a "to me from me" gift too if you want to treat yourself, it is a stunning compact and I'm sure something any makeup lover would like to find in their stocking on Christmas morning.

If you would like to treat yourself or anyone else to the Joan Collins Compact Duo, you can find it on the Joan Collins website HERE priced at £34.00.

What are your thoughts on the compact duo? Would you like to receive one for Christmas? Is it on your wish list already? Let me know in the comments below.

Base Products From Joan Collins Timeless Beauty

Base Products From Joan Collins Timeless Beauty

I have tried numerous base products over the years but still I am yet to find a foundation that I love and re purchase several times. I have used the same under eye concealer for many years, I just don't seem to be able to find a foundation that wows me.

A few weeks ago I received the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Fade To Perfect Concealer £18 and First Base Foundation £25, I have tried a few different products from the Timeless Beauty range and some I have really liked so I was looking forward to trying both the base products out. I used both products each time I applied my makeup for around a month before going on my holidays, so it's high time I let you know my thoughts.

THE PRODUCTS

Both the foundation and the concealer come in a black box with gold lettering and detail on, once inside, the packaging is the norm with the Joan Collins beauty products and is very nice. The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a gold pump and transparent lid and the concealer a clear plastic tube with gold lid with the signature Joan Collins logo on top of the lid.

What Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Say About The Foundation

First Base Foundation is youth promoting skin care and a foundation in one.  It creates a smooth, flawless complexion with a radiant, natural finish, whilst it charges the skin with youthful energy to help increase collagen.  In addition, Hyaluronic Acid moisturises and fills fine lines.
Beautiful colour with light, natural cover, and, it blends quickly and easily and leaves the skin feeling soft and comfortable, like a perfect second skin.
Joan Collins First Base Foundation
I really struggle to find foundations that are suitable for my skin type, I have extremely dry skin and dehydrated skin too and I have a cool undertone to my skin but am very pink and I find most brands launch foundations that are more suited to a normal skin type and a yellow skin tone so it is always a real struggle to find a foundation that ticks all my boxes.
When I read that the foundation was a skincare and foundation in one I was intrigued and then when I saw Hyaluronic Acid on the ingredients list I was hopeful that the foundation might be suitable for my extremely dry skin.
I have the shade Cool Fair, there are 8 shades available. When I first opened the box, I did think the shade might be a little dark for me but it is fine and not too dark at all. I have applied the foundation with my fingers, a brush and my beauty blender and my beauty blender and my favourite buffing brush are my most preferred method of application.
I use around one and a half pumps of foundation, dot it around my face and then blend the foundation from the centre of my face outwards, the first time I used the foundation I liked how it felt on my skin, it felt really weightless and I didn't feel like I was wearing foundation which I liked. The foundation blended beautifully and effortlessly into my skin, it gave me a medium coverage that looked natural and the shade worked well for me despite me worrying it might be too dark. I used a little translucent powder under my eyes and in area's I looked a little shiny and the foundation looked lovely and natural and not cakey at all.

I wore the foundation for around 10 hours and it looked great when it came to remove it, it hadn't gone patchy or worn away around my nose and chin which is a problem I have with some foundations, my skin is so dry and dehydrated that the foundation sinks in so much it disappears and looks patchy but I didn't experience that at all, the foundation hadn't clung to any dry patches or settled into my fine lines, it looked great and for 10 hours wear time I was really impressed.

Fade To Perfect Concealer

What Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Say About The Concealer

Plant extracts including Butcher’s Broom, Marigold, Horse Chestnut, Liquorice and Asiatic Pennywort, plus light reflecting particles make this Dame Joan's magic wand!.
An illuminating, calming and moisturising concealer that creates a magical soft focus over blemishes and skin irregularities.
Joan Collins Beauty Fade To Perfect Concealer
As you can see from the photograph above, the concealer comes with a doe foot applicator, I prefer a doe foot applicator with concealer as I can sweep it under my eyes but pin point areas too, I don't ever use the applicator on blemishes though for hygiene reasons.
I have the shade fair in the concealer, it is available in fair, medium and dark. I did think the shade looked quite light at first but it is a lovely shade to brighten and highlight my face. The concealer has a lovely texture and feels very moisturising which for me is brilliant, it doesn't settle into any dry patches or fine lines either.
I really like the way the concealer applies, it feels weightless and blends beautifully and it compliments the foundation really well. The concealer covers my dark circles and brightens my under eye area perfectly, I also use it on my brow bone and across the tops of my cheeks to highlight. It wears well and doesn't crease over time, I also wore the concealer for around 10 hours the first time I wore it and it wore really well, didn't crease or settle into fine lines and kept my skin looking bright all day.

I am wearing the foundation and concealer in the photograph with my daughter below. This was the first time I tried them both.

Base Products From Joan Collins Timeless Beauty

OVERALL THOUGHTS

To be absolutely honest, if I hadn't received the foundation and concealer as part of a PR package, I might never have tried them, I have other products from the Joan Collins beauty range which I love and would re purchase, but I hadn't ever looked at the base products. That said, I am so glad I have had the opportunity to try them both because I really like them, both the foundation and concealer are lovely, and feel lovely on my skin, last well and work brilliantly with my skin type and tone, I really like that there are cool and warm shades in the foundation and my only gripe with the foundation and the concealer is that I do feel there could be a bigger shade range, however the concealer shades do compliment the foundation shades available.
Both the concealer and foundation apply well and blend beautifully into the skin, the shades I have are brilliant for me and look lovely, the coverage of the foundation is nice and natural, the finish is  more of a matte finish but it doesn't look powdery or cakey, usually I would shy away from a matte finish but it looks lovely and feels lovely on the skin. I love how weightless the foundation feels, one thing I hate about wearing makeup is how foundation feels on my skin, so it was lovely to discover the First Base foundation felt so weightless and I don't feel like I'm wearing any foundation.
I really like both the foundation and concealer and right up to me going on holiday I used both every time I applied my makeup, unfortunately both are too pale for me since returning from holiday but I will be using them both again regularly once my holiday tan has faded. I think both the foundation and concealer would suit pretty much all skin types but if you have dry or dehydrated skin or are like me and what's known as "mature" then these would both be especially perfect for you, I have finally found a foundation I really like and would re purchase!

Have you tried either the First Base Foundation or the Fade To Perfect Concealer? If so did you like them too? And have you found your perfect foundation that you re purchase time and time again? Let me know in the comments section below.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment - Review Featuring Before And After Photographs

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

Hello Lovelies

A few weeks ago, I received the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment (£20.00) and I knew instantly who would be my guinea pig to test this product for my review.

My youngest daughter Alicia suffers from Trichotillomania as a result of her anxiety and because of this she wears false eye lashes every day, wearing the false lashes results is a viscous circle because removing them causes her eye lashes to become weak and fall out and as a result of both the false lashes and the Trichotillamania she has very sparse lashes.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

The Lash Growth Treatment is a clear treatment gel is a peptide booster that contains extract of laminaria (sea weed) and plvetia (sea algae) and lemon flavenoid to promote growth and fullness. The gel is paraben free and suitable for all skin types and claims to give you thicker, fuller and longer lashes in just 30 days. The treatment gel is opthamologically tested and can be worn alone or underneath your mascara.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment

The packaging of the treatment gel is lovely and looks very classy and luxurious, the tube is the signature Joan Collins gold and has Joan Collins written around the lid of the treatment. The applicator is a clear mascara wand which is quite long but is easy to use and coats the lashes well.

Alicia has been using the treatment gel at night on bare lashes, to be honest neither of us had high hopes for this product and thought it would be a gimmick but Alicia persevered and applied each night before getting into bed, now I have to say that she hasn't applied the treatment every single night, some nights she has forgotten so we decided that we would wait and give it longer than the 30 days because Alicia does forget some nights to apply it.

Alicia wears contact lenses and hasn't had any problems at all using the gel, it hasn't stung her eyes and she said it applies really well and the wand is easy to use and coats both her top and bottom lashes really well.

The Results

Alicia first noticed her lashes looking different she thinks around 10 times after she'd used the treatment, her lashes were looking longer and fuller and now she has been using the treatment for around 8 weeks, not daily but she has definitely used the treatment 30 times, Alicia is really impressed with her lashes, her top lashes are the ones she pulls out and where she wears the false lashes, she said the lashes she has are looking a lot better and if she stopped wearing the false lashes she feels they would look amazing but at the moment she can't do that. But the difference in Alicia's bottom lashes is amazing and we can only assume that without the false lashes and her pulling them out, her top lashes would be the same.

Alicia had short bottom lashes and they were sparse near the inner corner of her eye and around the first third of her bottom lash line but they look amazing now, they are so much fuller and longer and she has lashes where she didn't have them before. The photograph below is a before and after photograph and although Alicia is wearing false lashes on her top lashes in both photographs, you can see a big difference to her bottom lashes.

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Lash Growth Treatment Before & After

Alicia is thrilled with the way her bottom lashes look and she continues to use the lash treatment gel, when asked if she would recommend it and repurchase it, she said yes.

I am going to start applying the lash gel treatment to my brows to see if it helps with my sparse brows that do not grow, I shall report back if it does but I have heard it is a great brow treatment too and it is a lot cheaper than the brow treatment I was going to buy, so if it works it will have saved me some money too.

Alicia is thrilled with the Class Act Lash Growth Treatment and as you can see it has worked amazingly for her, if you would like to try it, you can find it on the Joan Collins Beauty website here or the Marks & Spencer website here.

Have you tried the Class Act Lash Growth Treatment? Or is it something you would like to try? Chat with me in the comments section below and let me know.
