As you know I have a bit of an addiction when it comes to nail polish, I love buying nail polishes and painting my nails and recently Boots had a buy one get one half price offer on Essie products, I needed a couple of new Autumnal shades so thought it was a perfect time to shop for some new Essie polishes. I have been wearing Essie polishes for many years and years ago used to have them shipped from US websites but now it is so much easier to buy them in the UK since they are now sold on the high street and also on many UK websites.
The first thing I picked up is a re purchase of the Gel Setter top coat I love this and have a full review including photographs on my blog here if you'd like to read that post.
The Gel Setter top coat is £9.99 and you can find it on the Boots website here their regular top coats are priced at £8.99 so for £1 more I highly recommend you get the Gel Setter it's the only gel like top coat I've tried (and being the nail polish addict I am I've tried a few) that makes my nails look like I've had a salon gel manicure.
Next up is another re purchase and it's the polish in the shade Chinchilly a lovely grey toned nude muted shade.
I love Chinchilly, when I first saw it I wasn't sure it would suit me but I loved the shade in the bottle and bit the bullet and ordered it and when it arrived and I applied it I loved it and get so many compliments on it when I wear it, it's a polish I always re purchase when I run out. If you would like to try Chinchilly it is available on the Boots website here priced at £7.99.
My next polish is another re purchase and it's the shade Merino Cool again a lovely muted shade which is described on the Boots website as a Mulberry shade and I suppose it is, I'd say it's a plum/nude/grey muted shade but Mulberry definitely sounds better!
Merino Cool is a lovely shade for the autumn/winter months it goes with so many outfits and still gives some colour without over the top and is different from the usual berry and red shades I go for. If you would like to try Merino Cool it is available on the Boots website here priced at £7.99.
Lastly I chose a shade I've not had before and I love it, it's the shade It's Genius a lovely plum shade with a nude undertone that has very finely milled gold glitter running through it, it's beautiful.
It's Genius is stunning and perfect for autumn/winter it's not too sparkly for a day time polish but could definitely be worn in an evening and would look lovely at a Christmas party it's beautiful and looks gorgeous on the nails especially with the Gel Setter over the top adding an amazing shine, I'm in love with it and can't believe I haven't picked it up sooner. If you would like to try It's Genius you can find it on the Boots website here priced at £7.99.
So that's my little Essie haul, I love all the shades I got and can't wait to wear them all, I will have nail of the day (NOTD) posts on each polish for you coming soon so keep an eye out for those if you'd like to see the polishes on my nails.
I hope you've enjoyed my little Essie haul, if you like hauls I have a fashion haul and a couple of other beauty hauls coming soon.
Thank you for reading, much love as always
