NOTD - Essie Chinchilly With A Glitter Accent Nail

Essie Chinchilly

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have a NOTD (nail of the day) post for you and as always my NOTD post will include a review of the polish or polishes used as I feel it is helpful not only to show how a polish looks but also how it applies and wears etc etc.

Today's nail look is one I have been wearing recently and every time I wear it I get so many compliments, I was paying in a shop a few weeks ago and the assistant complimented me and then told some of the other sales assistants who all wrote down the products I'd used, they thought I'd had a gel manicure which was a massive compliment because my polish was 8 days old.

The polish I was wearing was Essie's Chinchilly and I on my ring fingers I added a glitter from OPI in the shade My Voice Is A Little Norse and the result was stunning. Today I will show you how Chinchilly looks worn alone and then how it looked worn with the accent nail.

Chinchilly is a lovely shade and one I love to wear throughout Autumn and Winter, I recently re purchased it along with some other Essie shades (see that haul post here) I always re purchase Chinchilly for the Autumn/Winter months as it is one of my favourite shades for this time of year. I would describe it is a greige shade it is grey but does have a beige/taupe undertone, I think it looks lovely on the nails and get so many compliments when I wear it. I do like to wear Chinchilly alone as shown in the photograph above but recently I have been wearing an glittery accent nail and to achieve that look I have been using OPI's My Voice Is A Little Norse.

The OPI glitter is beautiful and adds a lovely touch to the Chinchilly, I really like the look it creates. To achieve the above look I used -

✿ 2 coats of Essie Chinchilly
✿ 1 coat of OPI My Voice Is a Little Norse on each of my ring fingers
✿ 1 coat of the Essie Gel Setter top coat

I absolutely love the finished look and the shine is incredible, the Essie Gel Setter top coat is my new favourite top coat, it gives my nails a salon manicure gel like finish and my polish lasts really well too, my nails lasted for 9 days before they chipped which is incredible wear time.

If you would like to try the polishes I used to create this nail look you can find the Essie Chinchilly polish here for £7.99 from Boots and the OPI polish in My Voice Is A Little Norse here for £5.95 from Nail Polish Direct including delivery, Nail Polish Direct is one of my favourite online shops to buy my nail polishes from, the customer service is fantastic and the delivery is fantastic and speedy too I would definitely recommend you check them out. You can find the Essie Gel Setter top coat here for £9.99 from Boots and at the moment Boots have an offer on where if you spend £15 on Essie products you receive a free Essie Winter Mini Kit 2015 containing 3 mini Essie nail polishes which is a brilliant deal and one I will most certainly be taking advantage of.

I am thinking of writing a "Favourite Winter Nail Polishes" post on my blog, let me know if this is something you're interested in reading.

Thank you for reading, much love as always

Zoe x
