Last October our eldest daughter went on holiday with her boyfriend to Rhodes and whilst they were there she spotted a Sephora store and being an MUA she was like a magnet and the store drew her in immediately, it was only a very small store and she said they didn't have much stock at all but she kindly picked me up one of the Sephora Collection Colour Last Lipsticks in the shade Coral Calling because she saw it and thought it looked perfect for me. I loved it so much that for my birthday my daughters ordered me 3 more shades in the Sephora Colour Last Lipsticks and today I am going to share my thoughts on them with you.
The shades I have from L-R in the photograph above are 08 Pink-Spiration, 13 Pink Sunset, 12 Royal Raspberry and 15 Coral Calling.
The packaging of the lipsticks is nice and sleek, they are a long slim tube with Sephora wrote around the middle of the tube in silver, the shade number is on a label on the bottom of the tube in very small print and is difficult to read. The lipsticks have a slanted finish and are slim, they have a lovely sweet scent which is difficult to describe but reminds me of sweets, they smell lovely.
08 Pink-Spiration - A Dusky Pink shade with a matte finish.
12 Royal Raspberry - A Fuchsia shade with a semi matte finish.
13 Pink Sunset - A Bright Pink shade with a semi matte finish.
15 Coral Calling - A Bright Coral Orange shade with a semi matte finish.
All 4 of the shades I have in the Colour Last Lipsticks apply well, they have a moisturising texture on application then dry to a matte or semi matte finish depending on the shade, 08 Pink-Spiration is the only matte shade I have but it doesn't feel drying on the lips at all and doesn't crack or flake, it feels lovely on application and also when it's dried to a matte finish. The semi matte formulas all apply effortlessly and have a moisturising texture on application but then dry to a semi matte finish, they appear matte with a slight sheen. The scent of the lipsticks is lovely, it is a sweet scent and reminds me of sweeties I used to eat as a child, it isn't an over powering scent and doesn't linger at all. All 4 of the shades I have are incredibly pigmented and give a nice opaque and very pigmented finish in just one swipe, the wear time of the colour last lipsticks is around 8 hours, they wear away nicely and don't leave an unsightly ring of colour around my lips.
The swatch photograph was taken immediately after application so you can see they have a slight sheen to them, 08 dries to a full matte finish and the rest of the shades do stay with a slight sheen to them giving a semi matte finish. The pigmentation of the lipsticks is incredible as you can see from the photograph, all 4 shades are very pigmented and rich in colour, they are all lovely shades too, it is hard for me to choose a favourite.
I highly recommend the Sephora Collection Colour Last Lipsticks, they are in my favourite lipstick choices from my makeup collection, and I don't have a negative thing to say about them, they are incredible and I will be picking up some more shades next time I place an order with Sephora. I have 2 daughters so we tend to place a Sephora order when we all want/need some products and then split the shipping costs. It is easy to order from Sephora and there are no nasty customs surprises when your parcel is delivered as it is all worked out and included in the shipping costs, I wouldn't hesitate to order from Sephora if you have been thinking about doing, their delivery is super fast and we haven't ever had any problems.
If you would like to try the Sephora Collection Colour Last Lipsticks, and I highly recommend you do, you can find them on the Sephora website HERE for $14.00 which is around £9.50, there are over 20 shades to choose from so you will be spoilt for choice.
Have you tried the colour last lipsticks? Do you have any shade recommendations for me? Or any Sephora product recommendations for me for the next time I order?
Thank you for reading, much love as always
