Removeil - Review

Removeil

Hello Lovelies

I love trying new things, especially beauty products, so when I was offered the chance to try Removeil I was intrigued by it.

What Is Removeil?

Removeil is a unique skin cleanser/makeup removal cloth, that has been especially studied to remove every trace of makeup, even waterproof makeup, but it also gives an exfoliating treatment every time you use it, using nothing but water.

Removeil (£24.99) removes all makeup, even water proof makeup. It has an exfoliating, oxygenating silver side which makes it a natural antiseptic and antimicrobial when it comes into contact with water. It can be machine washed and is reusable for up to 6 months (approx 250 times). Removeil is easy to use and you need nothing but water to activate it. It is environmentally friendly, free of harmful substances such as nickel, parabens, preservatives, silicones, petroleum jelly and sulfates and it claims to leave your skin smooth and glowing. Dirt and makeup are attracted to the capillaries and not spread around the face, as is with regular cotton pads.
The silver fibre used in Removeil is made by bonding 99.9% pure metallic silver to the surface of a textile fibre. When in contact with water, silver releases ions which kill bacteria and germs that may cause acne and other skin conditions. Silver affects skin in positive ways, helping to hinder imperfections and stimulate microcirculation whilst exfoliating, brightening the skin.

Using Removeil

Removeil has two sides, a grey micro fibre side and a black side with silver fibres for exfoliation. To use Removeil, you wet your face and then wet the Removeil by rinsing it under hand hot water and then you remove your makeup with the grey side and once your makeup has been removed, you exfoliate your face using the black side.

Removeil

The first time I used Removeil I had a full face of makeup on including waterproof mascara, glittery eyeshadow, waterproof brow products, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, blush and highlight. I used the grey side to remove my makeup and then the black side to exfoliate my face.

I was surprised at how easily my makeup removed and to be honest, I didn't think the Removeil would work, but it did remove my makeup really well.

Removeil

The photograph above shows me when I had removed my makeup, and as you can see the Removeil is full of makeup and my face isn't. Please excuse me looking rather scary, but you can see I don't have any makeup on, this photograph was taken as soon as I had used the grey side of the Removeil and before using the black side.

I decided I would use a makeup remover to see if I had any traces of makeup left on my face, I took a photograph to show you.

Removeil

As you can see from the photograph, there is some waterproof mascara left and a little bit of foundation, this is from my hairline. I was surprised at the amount of makeup left, I thought there would be much more and the amount of makeup I have on my cloth when I second cleanse is more than on the cotton pad, so the Removeil did do a great job of removing my makeup. I then used the black/silver side to exfoliate.

My Thoughts

I was very pleasantly surprised at the results of the Removeil, I really didn't think it would remove my makeup as well as it did. After using the black/silver side my skin did feel lovely and soft and smooth. I have washed the Removeil a few times now and it has been washed every time I use it, so it's been washed a few times too and it washes really well and all traces of makeup wash out when washed.

I think the Removeil is a good product and it removes my makeup really well and using the exfoliating side leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I use it to remove my makeup and I then use my cleanser to remove any makeup that may be left behind and to cleanse my skin before using my regular skincare routine, so I suppose I use it in place of my first cleanse when I am wearing makeup. The Removeil would be a great product for those with sensitive skin who struggle to use products as it is used purely with water, it feels lovely and soft and doesn't drag at the skin at all.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Removeil performed, I thought it would possibly be a gimmick that wouldn't work, but it does work and removes my makeup well, it washes and dries well too and is something I have enjoyed using and will continue to use over the next few months.

If you would like to try the Removeil, you can pick one up from the Removeil website.

Thank you for reading, much love as always
