I always get excited when a brand I love launches a new product and when the postman dropped the new GOSH Mix & Fix Colour Drops £9.99 through my door, I was very excited to try them. I have been using them for the last couple of weeks now and it's time I shared them with you.
The GOSH Mix & Fix Colour Drops is a range of 5 different colour correcting shades, the colours can help you correct any liquid makeup or moisturiser to your desired shade and skin care beneficial antioxidants such as Cherry Blossom which is a symbol of spring and new beginnings and is rich in antioxidant levels and soothing properties and oil derived from the Samphire plant (Hydrasalinol - oil) which significantly increases the skins hydration level, helping the skin to maintain it's water balance and prevents further dehydration.
There are 5 shades available, I have 4 of the 5 as the 5th isn't suitable for my skin tone. The shades and how to use them are :
001 Light - Lightens the colour of foundation and concealer. Add a few drops and mix to your desired shade.
002 Green - Neutralises redness. Dab a small amount on red skin irritations like birthmarks, acne scars or skin sensitivities, and for a mild overall redness in skin tone, add a few drops to your primer and apply under foundation.
003 Purple - Neutralises yellow and dull skin. Corrects dark and yellow spots and hyper pigmentation. Balance a mild yellow skin tone by adding a few drops to your primer and apply under foundation.
004 Dark - Darkens the colour of foundation and concealer. Add a few drops and mix to your desired shade.
005 Masala - Neutralises ashiness in darker skin tones.
My Thoughts
The 001 Light and 004 Dark are fantastic for lightening and darkening foundation and concealer, I'm sure we've all had the experience of being matched completely wrong for a foundation or we've bought the wrong shade, it is so annoying but now I don't need to worry. Both of these shades are also great for people who wear fake tan, my youngest wears tan on occasion and she is seriously impressed that she can now adapt her foundation and concealer depending on if she is wearing tan and how deep a tan it is. I have very dry skin and worried that the drops might change the foundation and concealer somehow but they don't, they do exactly what they claim to do and simply lighten or darken my foundation and concealer.
002 Green is brilliant for me, I do have a lot of redness, I can be a complete Ribena Berry face and on the days when I'm less red, my cheeks are always red and I always have "rosy cheeks" as my mum says. I have also been suffering with Auto Immune Urticaria since April which had been suppressed with medication but is unfortunately back (hoorah) so sometimes I have varying sized red blotches all over my face too. 002 Green has been great to pop on the blotches to hide them and on days when I am red, full of urticaria or have my rosy cheeks, I have been mixing a couple of drops with my primer and applying under my foundation and it makes such a difference, it's amazing!
003 Purple is the shade I use least, but only because I don't have much call for it but one thing I did try and was amazed at was, I had a foundation which is a little too yellow toned for me so I can't wear it but I do like the finish of it, so I mixed some of 003 Purple with my primer and applied it and then applied the foundation and it looked a lot less yellow toned which I was thrilled at. I did wonder if I could mix a little with the yellow toned foundation to make it less yellow but I have yet to try that, I shall let you know if it works.

Overall Thoughts
My eldest daughter is a makeup artist and is so impressed with the drops, she is going to add all 5 shades to her professional kit, so if you are a makeup artist these are great to have in your kit too.
And the best thing is, at the moment the GOSH Mix & Fix Colour Drops are on a buy one get one half price offer on the Superdrug website and if you buy any of the shades, you get a free mixing palette so it's a great time to try them if you want to, they are priced at £9.99 each.
