Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Cream

Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Cream

Hello Lovelies

I have super dry and dehydrated skin and over the last few months my skin seems to have been getting worse despite me having a thorough skin care routine, when my skin starts to mis behave I try switching up my products and sometimes introduce new products into my routine. When placing a Boots order recently I spotted Garnier had a new skincare launch, the Moisture Bomb range including a day and a night cream so I decided to give it a whirl, I chose the night cream to use as my day cream as the day cream is a lotion and I thought it might not be rich enough for my Sahara desert like skin.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Cream

What Garnier Says

Its highly-efficient hydrating formula combines:
- Two antioxidant superfruit extracts: Amla and Pomegranate.
- 15% Plant Serum.
Its unique gel-cream texture is concentrated in hydration, and is lightweight on the skin. It melts on contact with the skin, infusing it instantly with hydration. No greasy or sticky effect.
*Superficial layers of the epidermis, instrumental test, 25 women.
Proven Effectiveness **
- Instantly: 72 hours continuous hydration
- From the 1st night: skin feels smooth and appears fresher (72% of women agree)
- Fine lines appear visibly replumped (70% of women agree)
- Skin looks visibly younger (70% of women agree) and skin quality looks improved (86% of women agree)

My Thoughts

I wouldn't get 72 hours hydration from any product I'm afraid and I haven't noticed any difference to my fine lines nor do I look any younger but there's still hope I suppose if 70% of women agree isn't there?

The moisturiser has a nice gel like texture which quickly absorbs into my skin leaving my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and it has a fresh but not overpowering scent. I opted for the night moisturiser to use as my daytime moisturiser because the daytime one is a lotion and I made a guess that it wouldn't be moisturising enough for my very dry skin and I definitely made the right choice, I have been using the night cream as my day cream for a couple of weeks now and it's lovely but not rich enough for me to use as a night cream, my skin is very dry and needs a rich cream as my night cream or an overnight treatment and this just isn't rich enough but it is a nice day cream and does feel hydrating, it isn't as hydrating as some moisturisers I've tried but it does the job and is very affordable.

I paid £5.33 for this and for the price I think it's a good moisturiser, it's £7.99 full price and I don't think that's too bad either, it does hydrate my skin and my skin feels lovely and soft, my makeup applies nicely over the top and it's a good moisturiser. I would say if like me you have extremely dry skin, this is probably going to be best as a day moisturiser for you but if your skin isn't super super dry this will be a nice night cream and I'd suggest trying the day cream as your daytime moisturiser.

Overall I really like this moisturiser, it's nothing groundbreaking but for the price it's a good product and my skin does feel lovely and soft and smooth when I use it, I would definitely give this a try if you have dry/dehydrated skin, if you're not super dry, I'd try the daytime lotion for the day and stick to this one at night but if like me your skin is super dry then I'd pick the night time one up and use it as your daytime moisturiser, it's a lovely product and for the price it's well worth picking up.

You can find the Garnier Moisture Bomb night cream on the Boots website HERE for £5.33 for 50ml (was £7.99) or the Feel Unique website HERE for £7.99 for 50ml and if you would like to try the day cream, you can find it on the Boots website HERE for £5.33 for 50ml (was £7.99) or on the Feel Unique website HERE for £7.99 for 50ml.
