Recently my lovely friend Gemma had a post on some new Pixi products and included in that post were the Pixi MatteLast Liquid lipsticks, they looked and sounded lovely and Gemma's swatches were so nice, I decided I had to try them, so I picked a couple up, I did pick another product up that I saw in Gemma's post too but more on that soon.
Pixi are one of my favourite beauty brands and I have used their Glow Tonic for almost 5 years now and also love their Glow Mist and Double Cleanse too, so I had high hopes for the MatteLasts too, especially after reading Gemma's post.
The shades I have are Pastel Petal and Really Rose, both are which are pink toned nudes but are different shades. I always go for a pink toned nude as they suit me best. There are 6 shades in the collection, and they are all really pretty shades, mostly nudes with a peachy toned and a brighter pink too if nudes aren't your thing.

Pastel Petal - £16.00
Really Rose - £16.00
The applicator is petal shaped making the lipstick easy to apply, the point of the applicator makes it easy to apply neatly, the lipsticks have a sheen at first but dry to a matte finish in a few seconds.
The lipsticks top up well too should I need to top up and they fade nicely too, they are easy to remove and don't require any scrubbing at the lips, I really like them and I hope Pixi bring out some bright shades for the Spring and Summer because they are a really lovely formula. They apply well, they aren't messy and they last really well too, everything I look for in a liquid lipstick, so some bright shades would be very welcome, there is one brighter pink shade available but I would love to see some really bright coral and pinky shades too.

Overall I am really pleased with the Pixi MatteLast liquid lipsticks and I am pleased to have added them to my ever growing liquid lipstick collection, the shades are so pretty and I think would suit most skin tones, Pixi claim that they are "universally flattering" and I can see why, they are really beautiful shades.
If like me you like liquid lipsticks or if you usually shy away from them because they don't feel comfortable, I would recommend giving these a try, my youngest daughter really doesn't like a matte finish lipstick so I always ask her to try matte lip products if I don't find them drying to ask her opinion and she has tried them a couple of times now and she really likes the formula and hasn't had any issues with dryness, so if you usually do, these should be fine.
They're a lovely product and one I can see me getting a lot of wear out of, I am so pleased I added them to my collection. If you would like to try the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks, you can find them on the Pixi website priced at £16.00 each.
