Over the last year, I have tried a lot of Lee Stafford products, from tools to styling products, and I have really liked everything I have tried, so when I received the Lee Stafford Academy The Straightener £79.99. I was so excited, I have been straightening my hair for many years (around 15) and have never tried a straightener from Lee Stafford so I couldn't wait to try it.
The box the straighteners come in, is really nice black with bright pink metallic writing, and on the back, some information on the product.
The straighteners come with a silicone protection guard that fits on the end of the straighteners and protects the plates when stored and if you should travel with them.
The straighteners come with a 5 year guarantee (subject to registration) which I personally think is brilliant, it takes a couple of minutes to register the straighteners and they're covered for 5 years.
The straighteners are sleek black with a high shine plate and have bright pink operating buttons. The straighteners feel nice and sturdy, they are not overly heavy, something very important for me, and they have a 3 metre long swivel cord.
The control buttons are on the inside of the straighteners meaning you don't accidentally turn them off or adjust the heat when using them and the straighteners have an automatic shut off after an hour should you leave them on accidentally which is brilliant.
The straighteners heat up in just 10 seconds and are ready to use, they have a variable heat selection meaning you can choose the best temperature for your hair type from 80 up to 230 degrees and they also count up in the display window on the top of the straighteners as they heat up to your desired heat setting.
There is a card including which you can use as a guide to which temperature you choose.

The Academy straighteners have nano silver titanium plates which glide through the hair with ease, there is no snagging or tugging and they leave my hair smooth, straight and silky, the straighteners generate negative ions to help the hair stay frizz free and manageable. I have thin hair which is naturally quite straight, so I find the best setting around 140 degrees.
My daughters have both tried the straighteners and used different temperatures and both really like them, they have also used them to curl their hair and they curl with ease and their hair held the curl. Inside the box there are cards explaining how to use the straighteners and also how to curl your hair with them, something I couldn't ever do, so I was pleased to find this in the box.
I am so impressed with the Lee Stafford The Academy Straighteners and highly recommend them, they would make an amazing Christmas gift for someone or for you if you are on the hunt for some new straighteners, they are fabulous. I love that I can select the heat I want to use and that I can see the counter in the display window. The automatic shut off is brilliant and gives me peace of mind and a 5 year guarantee is just perfect. They heat up super quickly and my hair looks amazing, they are brilliant and I wish I'd tried Lee Stafford straighteners years ago. Both my girls have said they feel the same and they will definitely be using Lee Stafford from now on as they are both impressed by them too.
I would be absolutely thrilled to find these in my Christmas stocking or under the tree and anyone who uses hair straighteners or if you know someone who would like their first pair, will be more than happy with these too, they are fantastic and I honestly can't recommend them enough. If you want to pick some up for yourself or for a Christmas gift, you can find them on the Lee Stafford website, the or on Amazon.
