Hello Lovelies
For over a year now there has been a lot of hype surrounding the Kylie Jenner nude lip and there still is, Kylie Jenner made it public knowledge that there were some MAC lipstick shades she liked to wear to create the perfect nude lip for her and the world went mad trying to buy the same lipsticks and also trying to re create a similar look and what was a nude lip has fast become known as the Kylie Jenner lip with Velvet Teddy lipstick by MAC becoming their best seller and so much so that one MAC counter alone has sold so many Velvet Teddy lipsticks in just under a year that if they stacked them all on top of each other they would reach the top of the Empire State Building, now that's impressive!
For my birthday back in February I received 2 MAC lip products which are also known to be Kylie Jenner colours, they are the Soar lip liner and Faux lipstick, both are pink toned nude shades and look lovely worn together and I wanted to share my thoughts on them with you.
Faux Lipstick
Faux is a satin finish lipstick from MAC, I really like the satin finishes, they're one of my favourite MAC lipstick finishes and are what I would describe as a semi-matte finish. The satin finish lipsticks feel comfortable on the lips and are long lasting, I get around 6 hours wear time before I have to top up and that's with eating and drinking. I find pink toned nudes suit me best, I don't suit brown toned nudes, and Faux is a lovely shade, it looks lovely when worn over Soar but looks equally as nice worn alone.
Faux looks great with any make up look whether it be a natural daytime look or a smoky evening look, it's a really versatile shade, I love it and have worn it a lot since I got it. It applies well, feels comfortable on the lips and isn't drying at all and it wears really well too, if you have been on the lookout for one of the Kylie Jenner lip looks, then I would highly recommend Faux. Soar Lip Liner
I adore MAC lip liners, they are the best lip liners I own in terms of colour payoff, wear time and longevity, I have had some of my MAC lip liners for years and there is still plenty of product left and if I'm looking for a particular shade I will always search MAC out first, their lip liners are incredible whether it be their standard lip liners or their pro longwear lip liners, they are brilliant. I own quite a few MAC lip liners and do have a couple which I wear with nude shades but after we bought our youngest daughter the Faux and Soar combination for Christmas, I loved it so much that my daughters kindly bought it for me for my birthday (lucky girl) and I love it, Soar worn alone is a beautiful shade and again is a pink toned nude but worn with Faux it looks stunning.

I am wearing Faux and Soar in the photograph of myself and my lovely friend Emma above, I had had it on for around 5 hours in this photograph but as you can see, you can still see it really well.
I really love the combination of Faux and Soar worn together, I do also wear Soar alone sometimes, it is a lovely shade. It isn't dragging when I apply it and it applies beautifully, it fills in my lips well and is wonderfully opaque with an amazing colour payoff, it looks great worn all over the lip either alone or with the Faux lipstick over the top or worn to line the lips and then the Faux filling in the lips. Both products are stunning worn alone or together and create the perfect nude lip for me and also that famous Kylie Jenner nude lip too, I have to say, I wasn't looking to re create the Kylie Jenner nude lip, I just really like the lipstick and lip liner, but if you are looking for a nude lipstick and lip liner to create the perfect Kylie Jenner lip or just a nice pink toned nude lip, then I would highly recommend Faux and Soar.
Some other pink toned nudes I love from MAC are Modesty and Brave, they also look lovely worn with Soar lip liner, they are lovely shades and worth checking out if you like pink toned nude shades.
